This is the first vintage sound tape of a Slough sound system that has been put online - to my knowledge...
Whenever anyone ever mentioned Slough & sound systems to me in the past my immediate reaction was that Slough was a town that used to host some big clash dances : eg Saxon v Killamanjaro (1985) & Saxon v Arrows (1987).....BUT its only recently that I discovered that Slough's local sound system scene was quite lively - with quite a few sound systems having come out of this town since at least the 1960s. Slough's sound systems had a local rivalry with sounds from nearby towns like Reading, High Wycombe, Oxford, Luton etc - with many clashes & dances from the 1970s onwards....
Complex started in Slough in the early 1980s - and togther with Sir Miffion - were the top two sound systems in Slough in the 1980s.....
Before posting this audio - I asked Guvna Gregah to take a listen  - and even he was a little surprised at the calibre of sounds coming outta Slough !

This is the V Rocket Sound side to the clash with Saxon Studio held on 27th March 1989 @ Granville Hall, Kilburn, London, UK....
This was the last meeting between these two rival sounds who met up several times in the 1980s in some memorable clashes...
Nottingham's V Rocket Sound drove down to London on the night ready for the battle with a posse of Yard deejays - featuring : Teacher Desi, Lecturer, General Screechy, Penny Irie & Edgerton (RIP)...
