MD Wangsa is a Malaysian songwriter and an associate member of Music Authors’ Copyright Protection (MACP) Berhad; one of Malaysian performing rights societies. MD received his Bachelor Degree in Accounting (Hons) from International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). MD writes pop, classical, soft rock, and folk songs in multiple languages which include Malay, English, Italian, and Tagalog. One of his songs was signed with Warner Chappell Music (Malaysia). In 2012, his instrumental composition entitled “OMS” secured a runner-up placement in Song of the Year Songwriting Contest; an online competition open to all songwriters around the world.
