Kept thinking they could never live without you by their side
But then they spent so many nights thinking how you did them wrong,
And they grew strong, and they learned how to get along.

And so you're back from outer space.
They just walked in to find you here with that sad look upon your face
They should have changed that stupid lock
They should have made you leave your key
If they had known for just one second you'd be back to bother them

Weren't you the one who tried to hurt them with goodbye?
Did you think they'd crumble?

And just expect them to be free.
