Boston rhyme slayer M-Dot connects with legendary emcee Grand Puba (of Brand Nubian) for his latest single "Run Along." The track finds both rap titans trading verses filled with sharp truth darts over emphatic production by The Mighty V.I.C. (Big Pun, Kool G Rap, Joell Ortiz) and cuts by Dom2er and DJ 7L (of Czarface). The record was also mastered by legendary engineer Eddie Sancho (Jay-Z, Nas, Gang Starr). The video edited by Victor Keys is a throwback to the "NBA Jam" days and adds to the traditional sound of the record. 

The single is taken from the upcoming album "Daze Of Greed" dropping 3/8/24 and available now for pre-order via Bandcamp. The album features production by M-Phazes, Vinny Idol, 88 Keys, Apollo Brown, The Mighty V.I.C. and appearances by Big Shug (Gang Starr Foundation), Estee Nack (Griselda), Grand Puba (Brand Nubian), Ty Farris & M-Dot’s EMS crew.

The coveting of societal acceptance has reached new heights in a social media ("like" based) dominated planet. You find more people looking down (at their phones) then looking up to see what's happening with our culture nowadays; increasingly becoming robots to a system dangling products to the wide eyed eager consumer. M-Dot's latest single 'Days Are All The Same' paints a lucid world of these exact human shortcomings. The social/political narrative is carefully laced upon the back-drop of Hi-Tek's (Snoop Dogg, Big L, Eminem, 50 Cent, GhostFace Killah) eccentric drum arrangement.

"Chrissy" follows a troubled young girl as she finds herself disenchanted and inevitably trapped in a bleak world eclipsed in misery. M-Dot concernedly narrates her ominous downfall while elaborately depicting all the serpents that eat off her along the way. The fictional track evokes reality yet balances a dreary illusion-state throughout. Buckwild (Big L, Biggie, Jay-Z) provides the fittingly dark backdrop.

Guilty - Ruste Juxx & M-Dot

As M-Dot tells it, he and the legendary producer met in 2017 when they were on the same bill for a show in Switzerland. The two showed mutual admiration for their talents and kept in touch ever since, eventually leading to their making music together. The first result of that work is “The Atonement,” a bars-first, punishing track that demonstrates M-Dot’s love for the art of rhyming. He flexes some crazy patterns and internal rhymes atop Pete’s fittingly chilling instrumental.
