A year on from 'Fernweh', Laux is releasing two split remix EPs that give the album a complete re-imagining. There are edits from the likes of Steve Rachmad, Ray Kajioka and one Marcel Dettmann.

Dettmann is arguably one of the finest techno DJs on the planet and if he's not rinsing the Berghain sound-system, he's touring non-stop and running things at his stellar MDR imprint. 

For his edit he's served up a fierce, menacing and calculated track, one that uses monstrous kicks, demonic synths and driving hi-hats.

We've got the premiere and if you like techno, you're in for a real treat. Check it.

Poker Flat Recordings offers up another mouthwatering collaboration in the form of this EP by Mennie and Julien Sandre.

Mennie hails from Italy, and had fast been gaining a serious reputation on the underground, both as a resident at Club 999 in his home country and as a talented up and coming producer. 
Teaming up here with the Frenchman Julien Sandre, this is an international project that will hit home with DJs and house lovers globally.
 
The Night Riots EP kicks off with 'Partitions', which sees the boys in sparkling form - twisting and teasing a sick groove out of fairly simple sources.
 
'Darth J' follows a similar path - the devil is in the detail, and Mennie and Sandre get down to some serious beat science, punctuated with some subtle chords and vocal stabs in the process.
 
'In A Pixel World' reveals the pair’s love of classic Chicago vibes distilled though French Touch, bringing in a super funky groove filtered though various effects and processes, and paying homage to the timeless sounds of early Daft Punk.
 
'No More' closes out the EP with a yet another weapon - a ray of house sunshine that skips along on a fidgety beat offset by filtered strings and chopped up vocal stabs. It’s got summer written all over it.

Tobias. explores space and gasiform substances with his Helium Sessions on Ostgut Ton. 

“LAGEOS 1” on A1 already sets the tone with meandering drones atop a gnawing synth pad and distorted flickering percussion. The title refers to the satellite LAGEOS-1 which will continue to orbit planet earth in 5,860 kilometers altitude for another 8.4 million years (or 4,418064E+12 minutes) – we’ll let you do the maths of how often the 6:03-minute “LAGEOS 1” could be played until the satellite’s returnal.
“Nucleon” on A2 comes with a more dubby, deep and throbbing feeling, “Helios” on the flip features epic noise textures with shimmering melodic synth leads and a multi-layered break beat vibe, while “Spectrum V” on B2 closes this 12“ with another dub cut, detailed synth explorations and alienated vocal bits.

Berghain residents Ben Klock and Marcel Dettmann link back to Ostgut Ton’s label launch in 2006 with their first studio collaboration in ten years and the extended Phantom Studies, on occasion of the one hundredth O-TON 12“ EP release.

With Phantom Studies Dettmann | Klock channel their first joined releases Dawning (2006) and Scenario (2007) from over a decade ago with their first co-production in ten years. On this extended, 40-minute 2x12" EP Marcel Dettmann and Ben Klock parlay their deep personal alliance and musical repertoire through emphasis on new functional Techno as much as hypnotic, melodic and soulful music by thinking outside the box. The seven new, original tracks reflect these attributions by communicating to the needs and expectations of both DJs and home audio listeners, but not neglecting one over the other.

Binaryh bounces back to Steyoyoke Black with two original productions under the 'Boolean Logic'. This EP is a mirror image of the necessity to find right and wrong without considering the paths which brought us to our conclusions.

'Algorithm' sets the tone for the EP with a tantalizing, haunting melody. The algorithm behind 'Algorithm' can be deduced through noting the simplistic, yet powerful, manner of arrangement, coupled with the art of storytelling brought forth by Binaryh.

'Parallels' can be heard as a reflection of our environment's innate reasoning behind similar behavioural patterns with opposing views. Parallels, contrastingly so, find ways to operate with respect to reacting to the other. The contrast of the deep bass lines with the sharp, piercing synthetic sounds showcase a human's unfathomable desire to be different, yet accepted.

Binaryh has conveyed his artistic talents through two all-encompassing tracks to create this 'Boolean Logic' EP, telling an important story of history, logic, maths, and philosophy along the way.
