Former DJ now a father of three, just recently found out that creating music with headphones somehow magically silences all of the usual daily commotion. 😁 Now seriously... Biography

Amok Sun is the moniker of Silviu Iosif, an independent music artist and visual designer based in the United Kingdom. Known for blending deep emotional resonance with intricate, beat-driven soundscapes, Amok Sun crafts immersive music rooted in electronic experimentation, drawing from IDM, techno, and drum and bass. While his early work carried the textures of alternative and psychedelic rock, his evolving sound now explores the rich terrain of modern electronic music.

With a background in sociology, research, and design, Silviu brings a thoughtful and conceptual approach to his art. His professional experience in the tech industry—as a User Interface and UX Designer, Project Lead, and Mentor—informs the structured, detail-oriented nature of both his sound and visual work.

Amok Sun handles all aspects of his creative process independently, from composition and production to visual design, video, and branding—forming a cohesive and personal artistic identity.

Recent releases include the introspective single “Held by Silence”, the collaborative track “Pathfinder” with fellow electronic artist Spacey Panda, and the full-length album “233°C”, a bold journey through layered rhythms, ambient textures, and introspective moods.

He has released music with TITAN Music, an experimental label based in Melbourne, and is currently collaborating with Beta-Time Records, a forward-thinking label based in Berlin that champions underground, genre-defying electronic music. Through these creative alliances and an ever-evolving vision, Amok Sun continues to expand the boundaries of his sound and artistic expression.

Played in bands during the 80's. Started making my own music in the 90's as technology gradually progressed and became an Engineer. Like all kinds of music, except Country and Western. (That's Both kinds. :)) I have made some amazing friends on Soundcloud and hope to make many more. With little to no experience of making music before Summer 2020, Stopyral armed nothing more with an iPad, imagination and desire decided to experiment in creating sound textures & blending beats in a variety of interesting & unique ways. 
 
With over 140k plays on SoundCloud since January 2021 and hitting the top 20 RepostExchange Underground Charts on a consistent basis suggests this was not a bad idea after all😉
