Newcomer Mosey drops a beautiful debut for Future Times!! The three tracks on the EP have an intangible, melancholy lift to them, primed for fans of lovers rock techno and 16-Bit new wave. "Tuff Times" is a perfect nu-romantic piece of dance music, a simple straight line of emotional resonance that makes you wanna look up at the lights and zone. With a sound bank somewhere between PPU garage love, Sega Genesis, and glossy-eyed techno, the entire EP comes correct for the sweethearts. "TC Midi Labs", the B-Side opener, is an awesome Sakamoto-style display of abstracted synthetic flourish, perfect between two songs for the DJ knuckleheads out there, and even more perfect for home zoners. B2 cut "Live A Little" closes it out, sounding like Section 25 distilled to a simple, elegant essence.

Danny Wolfers (most frequently known as Legowelt) is a producer and performer who has worn many hats, all of them styled with finesse. His range is immense but never disparate; through releases for Clone, L.I.E.S., Creme Organization and Peoples Potential Unlimited (among others) Legowelt has spanned everything from frosty techno, sprawling boogie and melodic acid house to chugging electro without sacrificing bonafide quality or pandering to the fad du jour. In his newest effort, a debut EP for Fotomachine’s Technicolour imprint entitled Anaconda Flow, listeners are treated to that dynamism in its very finest form. Uplifting, dreamy synth sequences are incorporated alongside his instantly recognizable gritty floor-fillers for a four-piece package that will both delight the home listener and devastate the dance. His long-demonstrated devotion to hardware is utilized here to extraordinary effect: blips bubble to a murky surface, twinkles cascade from above and a kick drum pulses straight through everything it touches—all in all a darkly immersive little jewel, though who would have expected any less?

Scandinavian production duo Svida continue their rise to prominence this year with another brand new release in the shape of double A side ‘Don’t Clap / Go Figure’, dropped via Junior Sanchez’ ever impressive Brobot imprint.

Svida display their always-impressive production skills on ‘Don’t Clap’, providing slinky, staggered house beats and bouncing low end, with the result being a cut that’s full of compacted energy, whilst ‘Go Figure’ is a tingling, infectious dance floor filler with its perfectly executed chirping beats and minimalist breakdown.

With the recent launch of their new imprint – Kretsen Records – adding another layer to their multi-dimensional approach to electronic, as well as garnering support from the likes of Laurent Garnier, Josh Wink and Tensnake to name but a few, Svida are perfectly placed to enjoy a landmark year in 2015.

Headman’s Be Loved surfaces from Relish’s recent label round up Compilation 3.
The taught 808 foundation of the track is supplemented with heart swelling synth
lines that unfold eventually into an upbeat electronic pop song repleat with live bass
and swirling strings. Vocal duties are supplied by Rosie Blair, known to some as
vocalist for Moon Unit, and one half of the duo Boy of Girl with Paul Mogg (formerly
of the Psychonauts). The song steps a fine line between electro, synth pop and the
electro/acoustic dualism of Wide Boy Awake.
Along with a dub come two remixes. First up Andreas Esu turns in a trademark
percussion driven house cut up, with a dancefloor calibrated piano breakdown. Then
it is Daniel Avery’s turn to offer something much colder in aesthetic: 4x4 with bleepy
arpeggio’s and cold wave saw waves. The single will also be presented with a new,
Headman directed video piece.

Shining crown jewels in Tel Aviv's underground scene, Red Axes' artistic endeavours have slowly but surely been revitalising Israeli music culture. Their output's calibre sets the bar inexorably high — epitomised by the stripped-back disco bomb “Waiting for a Surprise” which stirred up a ruckus this exact time last year. So much so that techno don Audion was compelled to lay his grace on the dub. Spurred on by a bouncy bass line, swirling electronics and agile percussive workouts darting all over the joint, Audion’s production lab mastery is heard crystal clear throughout.

Forthcoming on Waiting For A Remix (which includes reworks by Moscoman, Manfredas and Thomas Von Party) this bag of goodies drops through @multiculti digitally on October 3rd, followed up by wax on October 27th.

Red Axes "Waiting For A Surprise" (Audion's Magic Carpet Remix)

The jewel in the crown of Israel’s underground music scene, Red Axes have produced a steady stream of hits on labels like Permanent Vacation, I’m A Cliché, Crosstown Rebels, and on our all-inclusive culti label where they dropped what became, somewhat surprisingly, their biggest hit to date with Waiting For a Surprise. The dark, stripped down disco bomb had one of the most memorable hooks of the year in singer Abrão’s staccato chorus, a late night voodoo incantation that was always begging to be remixed. 

We asked fellow Tel Avivian Moscoman to direct his hot hands to the guitar, mellowing things slightly, stretching out the hooks and adding layers of ambulant percussion to his signature middle eastern flair. The man you love to hate to love breaks his bread and shares it with us all.

MEANT are launching a series of roving travelogues and you've got a sonic first class ticket. 'Travel Tales' gives us an opportunity to celebrate a DJ 's unique nomadic lifestyle, and haphazard creative opportunities (and friendships!) that arise along the way.

MEANT’s series highlights producers and takes in their various collaborative creations written on the road.

First up, label boss Remain whose roadmap excursion from Paris to Sao Paulo teams him up with Brazilian techno stalwart Clickbox, creating two crisp, restrained, tech workouts alongside two vividly contrasting remixes…

'02' bites with a staccato riff that nags so hard it could make Lil’ Louie blush. Rising with percussive elements and warped humanised textures, it’s built around the timeless energy and dynamic that could crumble the biggest of warehouses or the most intimate of clubs. Remix-wise Swayzak add a darker layer of acid, repositioning the riff so it’s being sung on a lower range while ensuring the stretched, processed vocals are given full attention.

'04' exhibits their funkier side with a loose drum arrangement, veered bassline, juicy acid and a wry down-pitched vocal. Strutting with confidence, there is an attractive wonkiness to the kerb-scuffing groove. Meanwhile on the remix Dantom Eeprom realises a different, darker perspective as the bassline’s tones spiral downward with ‘Falling Up’ flavoured finesse. Breaking down into a delicious bit-crushed goo, Eeprom rebuilds the sticky sonics with the help of lasers, dense drums and the perfect amount of cosmisity.

A powerful launch piece to kickstart a series that every globetrotter can relate to: one soul away from home linking with kindred spirits. It’s time to take a trip…

What are you waiting for? Go on, jump in. The water is warm and a liquid paradise awaits. The poolside was a place of elegant sophistication, ladies watched hazily from loungers as gentlemen swam beaneath the lush blue ripples. Over by the bar the music could be heard pouring from small monitors, it echoed blissfully through the open air and travelled beyond the walls of the palace. All is well for what lies within but over the wall, a perilous plague had began to unfold. They remained happily ignorant inside the palace whilst the world fell to turmoil. 

Red Axes have developed a notoriety unlike few others. In recent years they have powered through the ranks releasing music on the likes of Permanent Vacation, Crosstown Rebels and more. They have amassed quite the reputation. Now they are joined by friends from far and wide on a remix EP for Thomas Von Party's Multi Culti label. He collaborates with them and creates an alternate version of 'Waiting For A Surprise'.

Beyond The Wizards Sleeve have announced details of the release of 'Black Crow', the latest single to be taken from their recently released, much acclaimed debut album 'The Soft Bounce'.
 
Released on Phantasy October 7th, 'Black Crow' is the third single to be taken from the album. Part American Gothic, part future movie soundtrack, it’s a song of haunting beauty. Holly Miranda's vocal glides across reflective strings and delicate crystalline snippets of sound, resulting in an epic torch song lament. It’s backed with White Crow, Erol Alkan's mighty extended reworking of the song, placing it in spacious widescreen, where you can hear for miles.

Its been a busy year for Vin Sol. After inaugurating his own imprint ‘Club Lonely’ in May, he went on to release two more EP’s.  
Now the San Francisco native is back again with his debut EP on Ultramajic. 

Although this is the first release Vin Sol has put out through Ultramajic you can’t help but appreciate their synchronicity, both the label and Vin Sol have an uncompromising vision for their work. Ultramajic’s overarching aesthetic and dedication to cutting edge, energetic house and techno and Vin’s lively veneration of old school midwestern jack tracks sit perfectly together. 

‘Instinct’ is a straightforward introduction to the EP, bleeps and a pounding kick drum carry the track to a frenzied finale. ‘1314’ ushers in a darker atmosphere, born out of a combination of simple elements Vin manages to twist and build a unique energy. In ‘Can’t Cope’ Vin utilizes a complex drum pattern to drive the track forward, never losing the momentum of the dance floor. Longtime friend Matrixxman steps up for a remix of the title track. Taking things back to basics Matrixxman strips it back for a pitched down minimal intro before reintroducing the bleeps and cymbals. Lastly, digital bonus ‘DTLW’ is a classic jacking beat, Vin plays with a vocal sample of ‘Work’ rounding out the EP to an infectious crescendo.

For their first release of the year, Madorasindahouse strikes with a trippy afro gem by the Moroccan artists Mr. ID who collaborates with Abdullah, delivering an insatiable song dedicated to his mother. “Omah” is made for these special moments that the dancefloor needs an injection of emotion. On the remixes side, two Greeks are here to deliver their own vision of the song.
