Patrick Topping announces ‘Trick Presents Lethal Bangers Vol. 1’ 

Trick label boss Patrick Topping recruits a host of modern dance music’s most exciting talents for ‘Trick Presents Lethal Bangers Vol. 1’, the imprint's latest compilation. Showcasing his knack for A&R and keenness on pushing fresh talent, the roster contains numerous first-timers on the label as well as returning fan favourites. 

“To be fair, all these could have been A sides, they are that good! I’m buzzing to unleash these 19 bangers on the world. The variety in sounds is what Trick is all about, but they are all connected with a certain energy and distinction. Obviously, I’m biased, but I do think this compilation is unlike any other VA I’ve heard, and I’m really proud of it. It’s mainly an eclectic selection of house and techno, but there are a couple of cheeky Makina tunes thrown in at the end, for the craic! It's the first time Trick’s released Makina music, but the quality of the other 17 house and techno tracks, makes me think there’s the freedom to do so. Hopefully people enjoy them as much as I’ve enjoyed playing them out.” - Patrick Topping.

Hello lovely people!! Please find here a recording of one of the sets I played at Burning Man this year. It was my Thursday evening set at Titanic’s End. It was an absolute pleasure to play there and see so many of my friends show up and of course many others. Burning Man is always a special time, especially this year with some rain and muddy, fun times after and during. Thank you all for seeing me at live events this year and listening to my music on Spotify and Soundcloud. I feel very grateful for all the messages I receive where many of you share very personal things with me. It’s an honour to touch so many of you. The old adage "they don't make them like they used to" might seem trite; however, it certainly applies to Belgian producer Pole Folder. During the 2000s, his knack for delivering epic and soaring productions that immersed you into a world of narrative was unparalleled. Listen to the amazing "Apollo Vibes" (alongside CP); it is intricate yet feels huge, unfolding its themes with the confidence of a master magician. All that craft ensured his music being featured on prominent US TV shows (Nip/Tuck, CSI) and movies (2002’s "Stark Raving Mad"). 

Today, Pole Folder is still acknowledged as a versatile performer who continues to tour globally, bringing his intricate studio creations to life with live vocals and various instruments he has mastered since childhood. For more of his work, check out his Reworck label, which features a deep discography.

Here, the veteran does not disappoint. Featuring tracks from Fort Romeau, Marsh, Rodriguez Jr., and, of course, Pole Folder himself, this is a deep, 2-hour progressive excursion filled with many emotional vocal cuts and introspective moments.

Murahni debuts on Loose Records with a hypnotic techno EP that layers industrial textures with immersive atmospherics.

Hailing from Hungary, Murahni is an artist whose innovative sound channels the underground scene of his homeland. He is a skilled DJ with a preference for vinyl, and he has released music on record labels such as Sam Paganini's JAM, Bruno Ledesma's Concepto Hipnotico, Rawflex Music, and Diffuse Reality.

This is the first time that Murahni has featured on Loose Records, which is an imprint originally founded by the late Rino Cerrone. Loose Records was recently relaunched with a renewed focus on underground techno that’s deep, raw, and hypnotic.

"Chewed Up" opens the release with a throbbing bassline and rattling percussion, while crunching claps and metallic bleeps create a high-velocity groove.

Patrick Mason and Rekids boss Matt Edwards return for their second appearance as SRVD with two cuts entitled ‘RAW FILES’.

Not confined to a single art form, Patrick Mason is a young creative at the forefront of Berlin’s art, fashion, dance music and LGBT scene; an influential club kid who developed a friendship with Matt Edwards after a chance meeting in Panorama Bar, resulting in numerous studio sessions and improvised live sets. Joining forces in 2018, the pair adopted their SRVD moniker – an alias inspired by New York’s vogue scene – before dropping their debut release on Rekids, playing at various clubs (notably Panorama Bar), not to mention an unforgettable performance at Boiler Room x Pornceptual.

‘The Yard Man’ presents rattling drums, piercing vocal chants and a tormenting melody that SRVD has been destroying dancefloors with over the last year. On the flip, ‘Brotha’ presents a compelling groove as a shuffling rhythm joins abrasive synths and Mason’s penetrating voice.
