For Juicebox Music's 49th release, we're excited to welcome and host Kabi (AR) and K Loveski for their debut collaborative EP, featuring 'Lost In Roses' and 'Whisper From The Moon'. Hailing from Buenos Aires (Argentina), Lucas Khabie aka Kabi (AR)'s dreamy and club-effective style caught the attention of the progressive community with stellar EPs on Soundteller Records and Balkan Connection, back in 2020. Within a short span of time, he's had his music featured on Juan Pablo Torrez' "Clubsonica Records", Max Freegrant's "Freegrant Music" and Guy Mantzur's "Plattenbank". Konstantin Petrov, better known to everyone as K Loveski, is considered more of a veteran with production experience that spans over a decade and a DJ'ing career that's nearing thrice as long. The Saint Petersberg (Russia) native and WARPP club resident has seen his music being released on Nick Warren's "The Soundgarden" imprint and his mix for "Balance Music", Francesco Pico's "Magnitude Recordings" and Sonic Union's "Lowbit Records" to name a few.

Premiering their collaborative 2-track EP on Juicebox Music, Kabi (AR) and K Loveski showcase their unique styles while complimenting each other's strengths. 'Lost In Roses' paints a more euphoric mood with its lush melodies and energetic drive while 'Whisper From The Moon' digs deeper with it's funk-inspired groove and sprinkled riffs.

Welcome to our new members of the One Of A Kind family German Tedesco and Agustin Lupidi, who together, with their musical experience and time invested in many years of work on improving music production, gather in one edition, which consists of the original and re-interpretation of the original song, and which is called "Naipi"!
German is experienced in the field of music production, but new in the digital electronic world with his releases, which he signed for Bevel Rec and Holy Grail Music, while Agustin Lupidi has been appearing for some time in lists supported by major artists, where his music can be heard on labels such as Balkan Connection, Genesis Music, onedotsixtwo and Massive Harmony Records.

Born and raised in St Louis, Missouri, Will DeKeizer is the focus of our next release, offering up three delicious slices of progressive beauty in Metamorphosis, Moon Escape and Floating Frozen In Time. To round off this exceptional release we have enlisted Macedonia’s progressive wizard, Kandar, and Argentina’s Ivan Aliaga to give us their unique takes on Metamorphosis and Moon Escape respectively.  

Will DeKeizer comes armed with over fifteen years of classical training in piano and saxophone, and also first started to dabble in the electronic production world some fifteen years ago. Citing early musical influences such as Pink Floyd, Vangelis and Tangerine Dream, and more recent electronic influences such as Guy J, Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren et al, it is easy to imagine the musical delights that Will is capable of creating, and after first coming to our attention last year via his amazing track, Karma, which featured on our compilation, Electrique Boutique - compiled and mixed by Steve Marx, it was only a matter of time before Will released his own EP with us. 

The EP begins powerfully with the title track Metamorphosis; an infectious slab of progressive breaks driven by an enveloping, rolling and evolving bassline, while ethereal atmospheric pads skim effortlessly over the top of a tight broken beat. Moon Escape follows in a more traditional 4/4 progressive format, featuring an addictive growling bass, shimmering key lines, playful subs, vocal stabs and a hauntingly beautiful piano melody, which all combine perfectly to create a timeless piece of dance floor ready progressive heaven. The third original, Floating Frozen In Time is a real journey piece. With a rumbling bassline driving the track forward from the off, and strong reverberated pads and shimmering percussion setting the scene for an epic expedition into the unknown. Next up, Kandar takes on the title track and puts a solid 4/4 spin on it. Definitely one for peak time excursions with a spine-tingling breakdown worthy of a festival stage. Last, but not in any way least, Ivan Aliaga gives us his take on Moon Escape, giving it a deeper more heads down feel while retaining and building on the euphoria created by Will’s stunning piano work. The track chugs and glides simultaneously with hypnotising ease, proving once again why Aliaga is one to watch.

In July 2019, Subconscious Tales made his original EP debut for the label. The twin-track, "Magnectares" was a wonderful snapshot of the Lithuanian's talent. Now remixes from UK and Dutch artists continue the story.

James Monro needs no introduction to the dance music cognoscenti. Regularly performing behind the decks in front of thousands at festivals and clubs across the globe including a crowd of 30,000 at the annual OZORA event in Hungary, the UK born artist has also carved out a sizeable niche for himself from his adopted Brazilian home. A production career in tandem has seen over 150 production credits to his name since a debut for Flow Records in 2004, while Renaissance, Hope and Kompakt have all played a part in Monro's growing portfolio and continued success.

A regular on Proton Music since an October 2013 debut remixing Juan Deminicis, August 2017's full-length "Into the Ether" album put Monro firmly on the underground map with an array of progressive, techno and psy-trance tracks. Taking a typically innovative approach to his remix, the central pad from "Arkaya" forms a sumptuous bed from which a languid broken beat and cavernous bassline create an entirely new sonic landscape. New motifs fire across the mid-range as a range of reverb and delay-drenched spot effects pan across the stereo spectrum. Building to a rousing crescendo in the third movement, layer upon layer of new sounds and counterpoint melodies create a sparkling new interpretation of Subconscious Tales' work.

With over a decade's experience in the world of underground dance, Kasper Koman has honed his sound through a combination of hard work, dedication and passion. Able to cross-genres with ease, a blend of "happiness, darkness and emotions" characterises the Dutch artist's sonic palette. Supported by a host of A-list DJs including Khen, Guy Mantzur and Nick Warren, Koman's work for Plattenbank, EIN2 and Manual Music, has seen him at the forefront of the modern progressive house sound. Moreover, December 2018's "Hi/First Move/Loco Motif" EP for Lost & Found saw Koman make a stellar debut from the Guy J led imprint.

Now making his Proton Music debut, Kasper Koman has transformed "Magnectares" in a wonderfully dynamic and innovative new direction. Founded upon a tight off-beat percussive groove, a heavy kick and syncopated elements from the original flow through the track providing an anchor to the original. Evolving elegantly, a new plucked motif comes to the fore while a searing analogue lead rips through the foreground, immaculately blended to the sonic palette around it. The result is a stunning interpretation that perfectly illustrates why Koman is held in such high regard.

Two magnetic new remixes from James Monro and Kasper Koman continue to pull Subconscious Tales to the centre of high-class underground dance music.

Subconscious Tales - Magnectares (Kasper Koman Remix)

Reinvigorating their collaborative partnership Dmitry Molosh and Michael A return to Cid Inc's Replug Records with 'Integral'. Hailing from Belarus, both Dmitry and Michael sit amongst progressive music's elite guard. Their respective solo productions continue to earn play and support from the genre's premiere tastemakers Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren, while also landing them releases on Hope Recordings and Sudbeat Music. Also calling Replug a comfortable home, Dmitry and Michael now return to the label with their first collaborative project in almost four years.

Much loved for their exploration of all things progressive and groovy, the Belarus duo exceeds expectations here, delivering two stunning pieces of music beginning with the title selection 'Integral'. Set in motion by a warm, chunky foundation, its robust core comes up quickly, with layers of finely tuned drums, crunchy rhythms and squelchy synths uniting in a fiery sonic comet. Shifting energy into the main break, heartfelt harmonics and fragmented melodies gently blanket the electric underbelly, resonating on a higher frequency as tasteful modulation rises and the groove drops for a chugging finale.

Operating on a similar sonic plane is the companion piece 'Twelve Days'. Otherworldly in nature, tough beats and dark stabs anchor the journey as the piece flows through a series of pulsating rhythms and mind-bending effects. Continuing on an unpredictable storyboard, ominous overlays and percussive flashes highlight the first act, perfectly setting up an icy break. Adding further intrigue, a wave of tranquil arps provide an effervescent foundation for the duo's dystopian soundscapes, before building to a granular sizzle as a rush of drums ignites a powerful crescendo. It caps off a hugely successful project from two of progressive music's most talented artists, further solidifying Replug's place at the top of this burgeoning genre.

Dmitry Molosh & Michael A - Twelve Days [Replug]

With 'Nifty Fifty' Francesco Pico and Paul Hazendonk celebrated the 50th release of Magnitude Recordings earlier this year. Now we've reached release number 60 and it's time to revisit their anniversary release with two fresh new remixes!

First up it's the Analog Jungs duo who deliver a proper rolling builder in true Argentinian style, followed by Kostya Outta who has a more wobbly, groovy approach. A strong groover this one.

Two lovely, yet totally different remixes to please your soul. Nifty Sixty style ;-)

Francesco Pico & Paul Hazendonk - Nifty Fifty (Kostya Outta Remix)

July 2020 saw Meanwhile’s third release feature Dutch icon, Roger Martinez with a three-track EP that was a soothing tonic for troubled times. Now returning to “Cosmic” a trio of remixes come from Jamie Stevens, Paul Deep and label head-honchos, GMJ & Matter.

An Australian legend with ARIAS to his name and a host of production credits for the likes of Bedrock, All Day I Dream and Replug, Jamie Stevens makes his Meanwhile debut with a typically impressive reworking of “Cosmic Drum”. Finding a new rhythmic path with trademark ingenuity and craftsmanship, a laid-back groove paves the way for a heavily effected and pulsating lead melody to wend its way across the eight-minute track. Making innovative use of Martinez’s original components, Stevens has created an elegant reworking that builds through rich harmonic layers transforming the original into a dynamic and highly original new remix.

Born and raised in the sprawling Buenos Aries metropolis, Paul Deep has spent his entire teenage years and adult life immersed in the underground dance scene. An accomplished DJ with a penchant for deep and progressive house with a splash of techno thrown in for good measure, his original music for Nick Warren’s The Soundgarden and Hernan Cattaneo’s Sudbeat, sit neatly alongside remixes for Beat Boutique, MNL and Mango Alley. Another Meanwhile debutant, Paul Deep retains the rich rhythmic collage of “Cosmic Drum” as the familiar melodies from Martinez’s track also waft across proceedings, coated in reverb and filtered tape delays. Evolving into a new textured groove of the Argentinean’s making in the second half, a glorious array of gated sounds add new sonic character to a seething, hypnotic remix, full of South American flavour.

Continuing their assault on the underground dance industry through solo and collaborative guises and a plethora of timeless progressive house anthems, GMJ & Matter once again return to their label to provide another high-calibre offering. Remixing “80s” the Australian duo create a trademark club-friendly rhythm that provides the perfect framework for a glorious array of sonic textures and soundscapes that emerge out of Roger Martinez’s original components. The distinctive meandering lead line of the original ripples across the ten-minute piece before a rasping new bassline and spine-tingling synth lead spring to life at the breakdown. Continuing into the third movement with ease, the combination of freeform melody and hypnotic rhythmic backdrop create the perfect match for an ingenious remix that sees GMJ & Matter extend their production repertoire with an easy skill.
