I recently found on an old cassette tape with a hard & fast vinyl mix I made in 1998 so I digitised it & uploaded it here. It's the kind of stuff I was playing at things like the Megadog & Templehead events. Audio quality isn't the best, mostly fine tho.

For some reason this episode of Lowering The Tone has taken a lot longer than previous ones and I apologise for that- I explain why in the show.

This episode I had chance to catch up with Dom Kane who is simply a world class engineer DJ/Producer Label manager, he records for the excellent Whartone Records & Mau5trap, he also runs his own production based company Kane Audio, he is a real interesting character and I enjoyed chatting with him.

With regards to the music I kept things pretty upbeat & fluid this show leaving towards the different shades of Techno, the deeper selection will return next episode though I promise.

Mark Pember (AKA Meat Katie) has released three artist albums to date.

As a DJ, Mark has compiled and mixed compilations for Bedrock Breaks, Fabric Live (21) & ‘Sessions Vol 8.1' for Ministry of Sound.

Released Music on R&S, Kingsize, Bedrock, Yoshitoshi, Mo Wax, Toolroom, Global Underground, SAW recordings, to name but a few.

Remixed such artists as James Zabiela, D-Nox & Beckers, Deep Dish, Lee Coombs, Stephane K, Phil Kieran, U.N.K.L.E 

He has run (as a label manager/A+R & recording artist) the highly influential LOT49 & Whole 9 Yards (W9Y) imprints.

In June 2013 Mark started a Podcast series ‘Lowering The Tone’ which in 2016 morphed into a Progressive Techno Label.

He now records exclusively for Lowering The Tone and is currently working on his fourth artist album, he still hosts Lowering The Tone podcast & also co-hosts ‘Setting The Tone’ (Podcast) with Ben Coda.
