Fiftysixed and Stuffed

Hey guys, Gotta send out a massive thanks to Dave and the whole team that bring together Regrowth Festival every year.

With this one being their 10th anniversary, I was stoked to be able to attend and super excited to play some of my music. Ensuring Monday mornings Sunrise started with a bang. 

After hearing nothing but good reports for years this was my first time at the festival. I finally got to see for myself how it all went down and I was quite blown away. Collectively it was one of the nicest festival crowds I’ve ever been a part of. 

Location wise it was beautiful, deep in the Aussie bush with 1000’s of new trees planted during the coarse of the event. 
I played on the Tree Top stage from 6:30am seeing in the sunrise from the Monday morning. 
I tried to keep the energy flowing with a couple of classics and a few melodic gems weaved throughout a heap of rolling psychedelic monsters.
A stack of my favourite artists make an appearance on this one so I hope u all enjoy.
I had a blast taking part in such a special event. Huge respect and thanks to all involved. See ya next year.

I thought about it.... yes it happens (but that's my quota for the month) but maybe its time to also put up something that is finished (sans mastering), and something (**gasp**) i'm kind of happy to have my name attached to :)

I don't know why I sit on these when they're done instead of putting them up... Weird activity to share ur crap and secret away things you are happy with


ANYWAYZZZZZZZZ......... Sophisticated Triangles, is the last of three which started with 'Pretending to be Human', then became Hunted (Ambiente Ostile) and is ending its life as a butterfly and also a triangle.  I was also somewhat motivated to do this because the sample makes me giggle... dark triangles and light triangles, get outta here haha

So built from the same blocks i've made a little family of sorts, that are about as opposing from each other in style as i could manage (some kind of syncopated percussive hell, to experimental dub-esk jazzy fusion) and now to a more Downtempo (except for the BPM) melodic happy place) and yet when you play them all together you notice their similarities.  I have a secret/really loud crush on Random Rab's music so I often wish I had the chance to try more in that style, but alas my brain tells me where I must go and it only swings past every so often, so I hope you might be able to (if you block ur ears and go llalalalallaala) hear some of that in there too... maybe (fingers crossed)

Its just going to be one of those dayz  (lives/forevers !)

Coming  from a classical background and mostly regular types of questionable (non)sense Mechanical  Witch has used her understanding of the the inherent qualities of music  to morph herself into the electronic world. 'I just make what I feel...  how else do you make music?'

Drawn to the abstract and  unpredictable you can expect soundscapes filled with broken beats,  the gritty and distorted, and honey-glazed fusions of dubstep and jazz in a strange  moment of uncoordinated coordination... with layers of ‘real world’ ambience, whatever machine/instrument she can get her hands on and topped with dream inducing harmony's her music sounds like a cake!  

But who would be satisfied with just one type of cake!  When the time is right all styles of music are a necessity.  From downtempo to hiphop, breaks, acid and psytrance, its all good :)
