Our behavior is shaped at its core by two main drives - to escape pain and to seek pleasure.

and intentionally or unconsciously our decisions are dictated by them, conditioned by whether we expect more pain or pleasure,
at the end of any particular action.

The range between the pain and pleasure maxima experienced plays a huge role in how we are made up of beings and what we have painful or pleasurable associations with plays an important role
in shaping any aspect of our individuality.

Although we avoid pain,
if it is the price paid for pleasure and does not exceed the desired result in its strength, we are ready to go through this pain
and sometimes even love it as a presage of pleasure...

We are delighted to announce the release of the third EP in our digital series. This time around, we present an intriguing EP from @Roxane-Barrow, a new duo based in the South of France formed by MP-57 and Roxane in October 2023. Their project is refreshingly simple: utilising a drum machines, analog synthesisers, effects, and a microphone without the aid of a computer. The tracks are spontaneously composed live in a single take.

Titled "Grand Hôtel," this 5-track EP is particularly captivating because the tracks have not been edited using a computer—only raw jam takes. Roxane's voice, ranging from chanting to melancholic melodic passages, guides you through the entire EP, while MP-57 skillfully works with the machines, approaching them with the enthusiasm of a child and the precision of a skilled surgeon. Embark on this musical journey and savour the unfiltered experience. The EP is set to be released on December 27, 2023.

JoeFarr has long been making waves with his intense and irregular techno. The mastering and mixing engineer has released on a wide range of cult underground labels including South London Analogue Material, Arts Collective, and Soma, not to mention his very own User Experience imprint.The cultured studio wizard always advances his own sounds - and techno at large - with each new outing and that is true once more here.
'Well Tempered' is a true banger, with synapse firing synths wiring about like malevolent robots as super compressed drums hammer home the rock solid groove. Overdriven drums, distortion, rave synths and abrasive textures then define 'Avvior', a thrillingly intense track from start to finish. The final original, 'Septum' bristles with rawness and direct energy with loopy kick drums and laser-like synths that hypnotise you, keeping you transfixed for five increasingly unhinged minutes of
relentless noise.
Acclaimed Frenchman Axel Picodot steps up to remix ‘Well Tempered’ and brings his unique mix of industrial and 90s rave influences to a fiery and intense remix filled with brutalist synths and unreserved breakbeat madness. With credits on Green Fetish Records and Monnom Black, mysterious German artist Buried Secrets offers a second remix that is direct and forceful, with gritty kicks and coarse claps making for an immovable techno juggernaut.

“Uncanny Valleys” compilation series is related to the theory introduced by japanese robotitian Mori Masahiro back in 1970, referring to the paradoxical perception of the existing similarities between a robot and human beings.
Hereby graphically represented in the artwork as the moment the curve goes under the horizontal axis, Sven incorporated human and non-human elements with collage technique, blurring the line where humans and robots differ.
This first opus is made out of Techno-EBM tracks spanning from old school EBM identity to a more contemporary approach of body music.
The whole compilation was released on the 15 of October in Digital and Textile Flag formats.
Every purchase comes with a .pdf file with the reasoning behind the volume and artists bios.
