The fifth release of the label returns us to the first compilation UNIVERSE. This time in orbit you can hear (as in the first release) the French producer Umwelt with the apocalyptic doom core track "Fallen Empire". Also a collaboration of the Mosaique label owner Moralez and the legendary American EBM/ Hard Core artist The Horrorist. They were joined by a hypnotic composition from the Mannequin label owner Alessandro Adriani and accidentally surviving track (after the death of the artist's music storage) from Greek artist Morah, who's was released on Helena Hauf's label Return To Disorder. Vinyl only.

'Piska Power is ready to see you again'. We're back with a check up from the med student come avant electronic producer & live performer. Piska Power plunges us right into modular territory with some heart beating material and thus the tests have come back positive. or negative, which ever way you look at it. 'Eiter Mit Stulle' is a 6 track EP/ Mini LP - A nod to the working class, the ones building our future, for the better. The opening track 'Stulle' simply yet cleverly names all of the main metro station districts of Berlin, underscoring the juxtaposition of most working-class people commuting daily with the homelessness. All walks of life being forced to interact. 'Eiter' and 'Grad III' turn it up and inside out whilst flipping to the B side, 'Eine Man Eine Frau' intro's us to a less club focused remainder of this EP. 'Joyeuse Bureau' is a synth wave post punk masterpiece and lastly apt, 'Strigoi' is about a love that changed the life of a miserable individual.

After 5 years of 'Fortnightly Freebies' columns collating our favourite free downloads, we decided to do things a bit differently for the 100th chapter. Introducing 'Big Material', a 19-track 'name your price' compilation that will donate 100% of profits made to Stonewall Housing, a London-based charity supporting some of the most marginalised and vulnerable in our society.

At a time when unfair austerity is increasing inequality and leaving so many behind, we hope to support a community that has given so much to the 'scene' and music we love. Digi-dub abstractions and drifting ambient to kaleidoscopic breaks and newly-coined genre, 'subtle donk', it's a pretty accurate microcosm of the If-Only curation as a whole.

Big Material pulls together music from some of If-Only's favourite artists, with tracks from @apsychicyes, @riveryarra, Material Things (@12th-isle), @priori-ties, @nicholaswilson1982 & @steviewhisper, @benoitb, @maxabysmal, @58daniel, @bogdan-drazic, @whyesss, @twitch, @warzouk, @thomasbakk, @eyemeasure, @rdjm0, @furiousfrank, Moonphase (AKA @cl_lit), @moonbowmusic and @aki-aki.

‘Black Earth Strikes Back’ is a twisted tale of two-halves – the story of unrest, a battle of the dark, cryptic underbelly looking to overthrow normality, fused together with the outer-core of electro.

Larionov and Sheepray stand for the A-side and take the reins with 3 tracks of warm bleeps, gentle electro beats with elements of sci-fi funk and aspects of italo.

St. Theodore supplies the mechanics for the B-side with three tracks filled with murky, rumbling analogue bass, with piercing acid-lines seeping through. Music that is geared for the dancefloors of the future.
