Maelstrom links up with newcomer CT Kidobó for a deep exploration of raw, violent analogue electro on the fifth instalment of the Dalmata Daniel Split series.

The opening track sets the tone for what to expect in the next twenty minutes: 16T50 is like the soundtrack of a spaceship escaping from a cosmic imperial incident, trying to dodge the unknown anti-pleasures lurking in every corner of the dark nebula. RSZALCAXN then creates a strong gravitational field of confidence with its heavyweight instrumentation, sending the message that the desertion mission was successful but staying vigilant is still inevitable.

CT Kidobó picks up where the Frenchman named after the wild vortex left off: the ever-tense Dark City wraps itself around a single powerful and metallic leitmotif, holding our attention while William Gibson nods appreciatively in the background, on the autumn streets drenched in tired neon lights. Finally, the Primer, which starts airy and gradually thickens, brings the calm and release we have been longing for all along, but which may not last long in this universe constantly shaped by gargantuan forces.

For this next @DarkScienceElectro premiere we check out a new release by @Deemphasis on newcomer label 'Radio Mars (@user-305720076)

Deemphasis is a producer specializing in Acid-drenched Electro. Originally from Northern France, Deemphasis was influenced in the late 80s by German, English, Belgian and Detroit-based Techno sounds.

In this EP, Deemphasis explores some of the feelings one can encounter in a post-apocalyptic world. The opening track is the song selected by @DVSNME to premiere and is called 'My Empire'. The track is clearly oriented towards the dance floor and features prominent use of the TB-303 to drive the track forward and give the track a varied feeling throughout.

On his first release since 2014, @DVSNME has self-released a 15 track album featuring some of his most inspired music to date. This full-length effort pays homage to the traditional musical scales of Asian countries like Japan and China with a sonically varied collection of tracks that will leave the listener wanting more. The title of the album is a not-so-subtle nod to Electro pioneers Kraftwerk's 1977 'Trans Europe Express', with the album cover paying tribute to the Japanese art form of 'Nyotaimori', in which sushi or sashimi is served from the naked body of a woman. The album relies heavily on the sounds of classic Electro machines like Mono/Poly, MS-20, SH-101, Jupiter-8, Juno-106, JX-3P, TB-303, Polysix, TR-606, OB-8, TR-808, ARP Odyssey, and TR-909. DVS NME is the man behind the weekly radio show/daily blog called 'Dark Science Electro' and has been a dedicated contributor for the Electro community for the last 10 years. He shares his love of Electro music by posting Electro-affiliated news, art, mixes, albums, memes, concerts, tracks, gear and more. This album is available for $14 USD.

Shoulder to shoulder with worms and dirt, the pipework burrowed deep underground, endlessly networking. In the damp, density of the earth all is still and silent. Not for long. Creatures creep. Plates shift. Water works. Blinkered darkness brings whole spectrums of sound and sense. One lonely clap from above can receive raptures of applause below.

Kincaid is continuing a frighteningly prolific string of releases with another on London’s Inside Out records, but this time he’s letting his friends do some of the leg work. It’s a remix EP, with Benedikt Frey, Stevie R & Parisinos and Kris Baha all chiming onto his track 'Pipe Up'. The British producer has already proven himself to be a fierce collaborator. His tendrils reach far and wide to artists as diverse as nu-tech house wizard Urulu aka Liquid Earth, Moscoman’s Disco Halal label and a collaboration with 80s synth pop legends (one of whom is Kincaid's father), Blancmange.

On this latest offering, Kris Baha probes deeper into the slower, sludgier regions with which Kincaid has recently aligned. He strangulates the original - a slick, snail’s-pace psychedelic meditation - into a proto-acid panic of caustic Belgian New Beat.
