“Daevas”, meaning divinities of chaos and disorder in the Zoroastrian faith, is the combined effort of SARIN x SCARLIT PORT recorded in Berlin during the lockdown of 2020. 

The six track 30 minute EP is a winding journey that dives into both artists’ shared Persian heritage by referencing ancient pagan Gods, mysticism and the more recent tragic histories of colonialism, dictatorships, longing and a sense of being uprooted. 

These unwinding stories and artefacts are imprinted within a dark cascade of sounds incorporating and combining each artist’s influences to create a total work that encompasses elements of techno body music, acid, industrial and the subtle application of more traditional Persian musical forms.

Barkosina  - Star Gaze [Modular Mind]

Kutkh Jackdaw releases a previously unavailable track from the archives, with proceeds going to humanitarian aid in Ukraine. 'Innocents' was produced in 2015, and is an intriguing combination of industrial and post-punk, with dubstep and bass music influences.

Kutkh Jackdaw is a Scottish producer and DJ, now based in Brighton, whose productions and mixes take influence from a wide variety of different genres, from post-punk and EBM, to synth, industrial and techno. He uses a range of techniques including a heavy use of inventive sampling, combined with extensive use of vintage 80’s hardware. His debut release, the 'Sweat & Thunder EP' was released on Dark Disco, and he has also had tracks released on Lunacy, Sonidos Subterraneos, and Of Dolls & Murder.

Dans Hardambient, seules des loops de morceaux (sauf le premier) de techno, hardtechno, gabber, trance, etc., sont superposées à quatre pistes – ces loops sont prises dans des moments calmes de ces morceaux, parfois avec seulement un kick en début ou en fin, pour former un magma dans lequel l’identité des morceaux est effacée pour former un tout métallique fondu, jusqu’à son implosion qui ouvre sur un futur non encore esquissé. Cela donne un résultat hardambient, oxymore dont l’immanence du sens est exprimée dans le continuum de ce qui semble être un vestibule sans fin.

BIO:
SoFabYouDie is a British-Algerian curator, graphic designer, artist, DJ and activist based in Paris. They have been active in the queer Parisian scene for the past two years, playing in clubs like Electrowerkz in London or Petit Bain in Paris. Their sets act as catharsis in an increasingly violent world, deliberately fighting trends with EBM and metal sounds. They founded the independent magazine and label Agressive(s) in 2021, to (re)politicise dancefloors and create alternative queer spaces and representations.
