Alejandro Perez aka Alessandro is a DJ/Producer from the city of Cucuta based 6 years ago in Medellin.

His first release was in the year 2022 on Andrés Gil's Refluxed Records label, handling a hypnotic concept, but at the same time raw, keeping moving rhythms and marked percussions that generate a groove and movement in each track, always telling a story within the same from start to finish.

From his EP released on Float last year to his new projects on Roomtrax and HAYES recently, his music is fiery and frenetic. This spatial dimension is essential to him as a musician, where tension and reflection are combined in the space he endlessly recreates through his sets. 

Mathys Lenne is the one who sets the pace, pushing the melody to its rawest limits and establishing order with finesse.

RETROSPECT 069: vakkum

In the 46th episode of Cartel Podcast we are pleased to host PWCCA.

PWCCA aka Dr Cyanide, born in Madrid on April 26, 1979.
He started in the world of electronic music in 1995, he took his first contact with some dishes in a pub located in his area, driven by a friend who worked in it.
Firstly, he showed progressive and house sounds, but not take long to opt for more underground trends, influenced by large techno producers such as James Ruskin, Richard Polson, Christian Wünsch, Portion reform,Regis or Surgeon among others.
In 1996 and is interested in how to produce electronic music using software and hardware, creating his first beats with a Roland TR 606 and the software for rhythms "Hammer"
In 1998 he was selected from over 600 applicants to represent Madrid in the first national championship of amateur djs organized by the magazine Deejay, held at the legendary venue Disco 8 Barcelona, obtaining a fifth appreciated.
From that year until 2000, he works as a DJ in various clubs around the city and also gaining experience as a producer.
That same year put into operation with another partner, the only franchise from the famous brand Phrenetic Society, owned by acclaimed dj/producer Cristian Varela, where he taught in school and teacher in production Dj midi / audio, adding to these activities, the sale of music and clothes.
This is when he decided to create with his partner, his own record label, called Hardtools, giving life vinyl two references to the brand. (Evidence and Unkonwn Ep.)
Totally immersed in the world of musical creation collaborates with a softer sound, the fourth reference published Cristian Varela in his signet Donkeyhead recordings "big along the genre, such as Gayle San and Cristian own, that's when it's invited and interviewed the famous radio program led by Luis Varela, Phrenetic Power Music, issued at night on the station known Tango and Cash.
During the two-year duration of the open franchise (it is closed for reasons beyond his control in 2002) was invited to several festivals of great significance, as the first casting Phrenetic held in the Villalba´s cathedral techno , the great Van-Vas, adding to this many raves organized in the community of Madrid where Birmingham is reflected as his labeling style.
In 2005 lost contact with the technics, leaving only time to assimilate knowledge as a producer.
Currently it has returned to give life to his label Hardtools, this time digitally, also adding the creation of two other brands for the same function, Basic Form and UK Executes.

The works of PWCCA has been edited on Warm up recordings, Mord récords, Faut Section, Blackcodes experiments, Newrhythmic, Anaoh, TMM, Combine audio, Inducted waves, Human recs, Signal, Rekktor Music, Granulart recordings, Recorded things, Devotion records, Koryubudo, Hardtools records to name a few, alongside artists like Oscar Mulero,  Christian Wünsch, Dimi Angélis, Vertical spectrum, CONCEPTUAL, Stanislav Tolkachev, Takaaki Itoh, Temudo, Eric Fetcher, The Advent, Patrik Skoog, D_func (Alexander Kowalski), Jose Pouj, Error Etica, Kike Pravda, Nørbak, Sabotak, Svarog, Fixeer, Allen, Michel Lauriola, Ricardo Garduno, Samuel L Session, among others.

Working his craft for many years now, this Dutch techno phenomenon was already there in the early days. Making his way through the Amsterdam nightlife, where this graduate math student witnessed the euphoria in famous clubs like RoXY and Escape, he discovered his love for techno music. Winning a DJ contest held by dance magazine Bassic Groove he caught a wave, getting to play renowned events like Dance Valley and the FFWD Dance Parade.

Este fenómeno del techno holandés, que lleva muchos años trabajando en su oficio, ya estaba allí en sus comienzos. Abriéndose paso por la vida nocturna de Ámsterdam, donde este estudiante de matemáticas graduado fue testigo de la euforia en clubes famosos como RoXY y Escape, descubrió su amor por la música techno. Ganó un concurso de DJ organizado por la revista de baile Bassic Groove y se puso en la cresta de la ola, llegando a pinchar en eventos de renombre como Dance Valley y la FFWD Dance Parade.

Su nombre es Víctor Raigoza, conocido por el nombre artístico de Azogiař; Nacido en Cali - Valle Del Cauca, Criado en Roldanillo, Colombia; es un productor influenciado por la escena electrónica local desde el 2014.

Es productor de la nueva ola del 2020, ahora respetado por su disciplina en el estudio, su música cuenta con un gran respaldo a nivel mundial, actualmente radicado en España desde noviembre de 2022. 

Tiempo después fue moldeando su panorama sonoro con sintetizadores psicodélicos y atmósferas envolventes con su característico beat rawtechno.

Desde muy joven, ha tocado una amplia gama de estilos musicales, desde el tigrinya, la música eritrea de su herencia, hasta el hip-hop, el funk y el soul. Durante la locura del breakbeat en el delta del Rhein-Neckar, entró en contacto por primera vez con la música electrónica a los trece años. Poco después, decidió ponerse él mismo a los platos. 

Johnny D se convirtió rápidamente en un artista polifacético, activo en el Mannheim Collective junto a Ray Okpara, Nick Curly, Nekes y Federico Molinari. Organizaron fiestas house juntos y fundaron sus propios sellos discográficos Oslo, 8Bit y Cecille, alcanzando una gran popularidad en toda la escena.

Además de sus habilidades tras los platos, Benales es también un talentoso productor musical. Ha publicado varios EP y remixes en sellos aclamados como Sino (sello de Technasia), KEY Vinyl (sello de Freddy K), Mitsubasa, Analog Solutions, Knotweed, Diffuse Reality y muchos más. Además, es artista fichado por el sello Construct Re-Form, con varios lanzamientos en perspectiva, entre los que se incluyen un VA en K S R, CRF, Matterwave y S.lab.

El talento de Benales para la producción musical le ha valido el reconocimiento internacional, especialmente por sus lanzamientos «Elements part 1 & part 2». Su estilo único y sus habilidades como DJ y productor han consolidado su estatus como una figura respetada en la comunidad techno underground, conocida por sus potentes e inolvidables sesiones.
