We are happy to conclude 2021 with our last premiere of the year courtesy of Chilean producer and co-founder of Dosis Records, John Plaza. Releasing on the Wales-based NFEREE label, the eight-track ambient techno album 'Altostrados' is full of groovy atmospherics and cinematic synth lines. 

‘Eckig’ takes on an immersive odyssey to the low starry sky, creating a dynamic of hypnotic austerity. The underlying warmth of its spacey, dreamy pads and acid-sparkled blips shadowing a trippy-charged percussion, give the way to a lively-spirited emotion to shine through its minimalistic rhythmic skeleton.

The Lyon-based producer Sanjib touches upon atmospheric heights and elevated consciousness with his deep techno productions, including on this new record. The EP takes off with the floaty title track Flavours Awakening, which feels like a melancholic dub-heavy journey, followed by the trippy and just as touching Sensing Algorithm. Both productions clearly have an emotional undertone in which Sanjib once again focuses on establishing a universe dedicated to travel and introspection.

On our premiere pick, Concrete Gold, one of the minds behind Crescent London, showcases a slower take on Flavours Awakening, transforming the emotional track into a hypnotic adaptation while not letting go of the emotional inquiry.

Marco Shuttle is very much part of the Spazio Disponibile label family: he's put out his Systhema album and various EPs with Donato Dozzy and Neel in the last couple of years, and now the Eerie boss serves up more of his immersive techno excellence.

He starts off in slow motion, with the roomy ambiance and slightly spooky dub of 'Ritmo Elegante.' Of course it's a track carefully filled with little sonic details that make it a very real place to be. 'Arpex' then switches things up with a super urgent, super supple acidic techno rhythm thats overlaid with a widescreen arp that sapiens space and time, and 'Stairway To The Milky Way' is a half time stepper though some trippy sci-fi jungle before 'Qatarsi' rides on a floating groove as sound effects pan all around you and traps you in a state of trance. These are expressive, hard to define and excellent electronics once again from Marco Shuttle.

Excited to release a new album via Bandcamp in this occasion. For a long time I had in mind to put together some tracks I made in the years but it was quite difficult to find the time and the concentration to do it, but this period finally gave me the chance to realize it. The playlist is formed with tracks created starting from the "Prologue period" in 2012 arriving until few weeks ago in 2020 and the orientation of the album is quite drone and atmospheric. Hope some of you who follow my music since the beginning of social media era will like this work and hopefully, also the ones who approached my music in the last period. Any kind of support will be particularly appreciated and helpful in this moment. Thank you everyone in advance! <3

From the need to contribute and relieve a little the social and economic problem that is currently being experienced in the country due to the emergency of COVID-19, From a Lost Place has brought together local and international artists who have joined the cause to, through music, try to help the most vulnerable. 100% of the money raised on Bandcamp will be donated in two parts: One for Santa Cruz del Islote, an artificial island located in the San Bernardo archipelago (Colombia) and considered one of the most populated islands in the world, which It sustains itself economically through tourism and now finds itself with a lack of food and medicine supplies. The other part will go to the Fundación Rediseñándonos, located in Bogotá and whose initiative is the reintegration of vulnerable people and street dwellers through weaving and clothing. Right now and due to the current situation, this home needs to stock up on food and raw materials to continue working for those who need it.

A partir de la necesidad de contribuir y aliviar un poco el problema social y económico que se está viviendo actualmente en Colombia debido a la emergencia del COVID-19, From a Lost Place ha reunido artistas locales e internacionales que se han sumado a la causa para, a través de la música, tratar de ayudar a los más vulnerables. El 100% del dinero recaudado en Bandcamp será donado en dos partes: Una para Santa Cruz del Islote, una isla artificial ubicada en el archipiélago de San Bernardo y considerada una de las islas más pobladas del mundo, la cual se sostiene económicamente por el turismo y ahora se encuentra con falta de abastecimiento de comida y medicamentos. La otra parte se destinará a la Fundación Rediseñándonos, ubicada en Bogotá (COL) y que tiene como iniciativa la reinserción de personas vulnerables y habitantes de calle por medio del tejido y la confección. Ahora mismo y debido a la situación actual, este hogar necesita abastecerse de alimentos y materia prima para continuar trabajando en pro de quienes lo necesitan.
