Welcome back to the Magician On Duty Journey Series!

On this edition we welcome Oliver Rottmann (@oliverrottmann)

Oliver Rottmann is born and raised in Vienna, Austria and came into contact with electronic music at the age of 18. Starting from playing only for his closest friends his reputation grew and the locations changed from basement parties to underground clubs. 

In 2015 he moved to New York to expand his musical horizon. A year later he moved back to Vienna and recently after that started to organize parties with his closest friends under the name 'Heimlich'.
 
Since then he focused on Downtempo and electronic world music and also transformed "Heimlich" into a fantastic record label!

'Le Temple de Renca' is an hommage to the Amazon rainforest - an attempt at amplifying the voices of this majestic ecosystem and its citizen.

The Renca Reserve in Brazil is one of the most diverse and untouched jungles in the world. It is now under threats of deforestation by greedy individuals, blinded by the monetary interests of the mining industry. 

« Renca reserve in the eastern Amazon is home to the indigenous Aparai, Wayana and Wajapi tribes as well as vast swaths of untouched forest, covering more than 46,000 square kilometres.

Renca contains important reserves of gold, manganese, iron and copper which until now have been available only to relatively low-level state-owned mining. Illegal miners also operate in the area.»
