Description: I'm real excited for this month's #7DaysofVGM; I had to skip last month due to work! The theme this time is "elements," with the prompt today being "earth." Earth tends to be what's below your feet, so I decided to go for something really low and rumbly, with lots of kick drum and bass. I reversed my usual compositional process and wrote this one drums first, then bass, and then guitar last.

Day 7! Forgot to upload last night. I just wanted to do something dumb, kinda thrash-y, has sort of a 'Mega Man X'-ish flavour now that I listen to it! lol
I absolutely love that B section though, probably one of my favourite things I've written. :)

7 Days of VGM - Day 7: "Headcracker" (Big Baddie)

Took a stab at the sub-prompt in the email about writing something in minor that didn't sound "sad"! I used guitar pro for this because I've been using it a lot for work and have started to really enjoy the software for what it can do.

Today a friend challenged me to borrow a chord from every mode, so I set out to do that. As for the nature prompt I used a lot of varied timbres and timbres that evoke nature for me personally.

Imagine floating slowly down a river in a place you've never been.  There are so many plants on either side of you, that it's difficult to see the sky.  Every once in a while, there's a clearing and the bright sunlight shines through illuminating the beauty around you.
