Meerkat is the solo project of Mark Ahessy, an artist born and raised in southern Ireland .
Initially launched as a DJ project, it wasn’t long before Mark was drawn to music production. Fueled by curiosity and creativity, he began crafting his own unique blend of psychedelic sounds—ranging from psy-tech and psygressive to dark progressive.
Over the years, Meerkat has released a number of well-received EPs and tracks on respected labels such as Jaira Records, Padang, Occulta, Zenon, Katayy, Universal Tribe, and most recently has joined Alpaka Muzik, where he has released numerous tracks on compilations and his Debut Album . " The Temple of Shroom
His music has taken him to stages around the globe, with performances at festivals like Lost Theory, Sunshine, Arkana, Solstice, and many more.
In addition to his work as a producer and performer, Mark is also the founder of Enter Mushroom—a new festival in Ireland dedicated to Psy-Tech, progressive, and Dark Prog.
