Changing from summer to winter is always little bit of an adjustment. Less sun, more rain, shorter days and more time spent inside. However, once you're used to it, it's cosy and beautiful. I'm not al the way there yet, right now it just feels kinda cold and miserable, but I'm looking forward to the moment where I enjoy and appreciate the cold, cosy, miserable days. Maybe this months episode might help a little bit. Maybe some beautiful, cosy, moody tracks will help get you there. I hope you enjoy ❤️

Distant Episode 76 / November 2023

It's so crazy that the year is already over. Such amazing things have happened. Built a new studio, created my very first merch, sold out multiple Distant shows, got to work on some amazing remixes and finally released some original music again. But man, it can it be stressful. It's still hard really enjoy all those beautiful moments when stress and anxiety get in the way. But I know that at the end of the day, it was all totally worth it and I can look back with pride and happiness to all those things I was able to do. Hopefully you can feel the same. To me, the warm and nostalgic vibe of this episode really fit the closing of such a year. I've also included the entire EP that is coming out the coming weeks. I hope you enjoy <3

2023 Year Mix

First of all, I want to wish you the best for the new year! Once again, the year has flown by in the blink of an eye. It's so crazy how time seems to speed up when life starts rolling. As always, a lot of stuff has happened this year. Good stuff, bad stuff, scary stuff, exciting stuff. In all that, it is hard, yet incredibly important, to stay true to yourself and what you feel. I find it incredibly fascinating how every single person has their own very unique taste, what to ourselves can sometimes feels like the absolute truth. I've recently gotten some different comments and messages about what I do, about my music or these episodes, and I truly respect that. I love getting feedback from you guys! I appreciate you all having my back down there in the comments, the support I get from you all is even heartwarming, but it's okay for people to have a different opinion. Each month I put together tracks that I've come across, that I personally like, and share them with you. My choices may be limited sometimes, so it's very likely it doesn't suit everyone's taste. And that's fine. I can make a Distant episode, that I feel like is the best I've ever made, but that doesn't mean you have to like it too. We all have our own taste in music, enjoy different things, that's what makes us unique. Please do not hesitate and share your thoughts with me, positive or negatieve, that’s what helps me grow. As long as we respect each other's taste, we'll make it work.

I'm super excited for what this summer is planning out to be! Lot's of amazing shows and plans to keep me busy. I basically never feel some kind of winter blues, normally I like the cosiness of winter, but for some reason this past winter it really hit. Maybe it's just the short days, the huge amounts of rain and days without sun. But! Summer is creeping in and I can't wait!
