In the vast expanse of the desert, where the sands whispered ancient secrets, stood a gate of pulsating light, the Gates of Time, guarded by the mythical Phoenix, its feathers ablaze with ethereal fire. This portal connected the ancient wonders of the world: the Egyptian Pyramids, Stonehenge, and the towering pyramids of the Aztecs and Mayans, revealing a network of mystical energy that spanned the globe.

Ava, a young archaeologist driven by a quest for knowledge, discovered the gate amidst the dunes, drawn by the ley lines that converged upon this spot. As she approached, the gate shimmered, revealing deities from across the ages: Anubis, Quetzalcoatl, Buddha, Shiva, and Kali, each stepping forth from the light, embodiments of the myths Ava had spent her life studying.

The Phoenix addressed Ava, offering her the chance to traverse the threads of time but warning of the responsibility such knowledge entailed. Accepting the challenge, Ava stepped through the gate into a whirlwind journey across epochs. She witnessed the construction of the Giza Pyramids, the celestial rituals of Stonehenge, and the grandeur of the Aztec and Mayan civilizations, alongside encounters with dragons, unicorns, and griffins.

Her journey through time revealed the interconnectedness of past, present, and future, showing potential paths humanity might take. Returning to her own time as the gate vanished, Ava realized her experiences could not be shared directly; they would sound like a fantasy. Instead, she dedicated herself to preserving the ancient sites, understanding their significance in the tapestry of time, and becoming a guardian of history.

In the solitude of the desert, the Phoenix watched over Ava, its presence a reminder of the eternal cycle of rebirth and the enduring quest for knowledge.

Following on from Chapter 1 comes an eclectic mix of music destined for daylight tripping. 14 tracks that define what the BMSS catalog has come to stand for over the last two decades.

"Return to the Source - Chapter 2” retests the limits and breaks out into a free flow of emotion and feeling. Prioritizing style over labels and arbitrary genres, label manager Boom Shankar curates just as he performs.

The second part of this 20th anniversary release continues the voyage from night into daytime music. Pleiadians remix a truly foundational classic by Technossomy, pioneer ManMadeMan teleports back to the source with a brand new track, new signing Inverse Out from Finland appears on a solo track as well as a collaboration with Vertical, and The Key (Ovnimoon & Ascent) resurrect a modern Goa Trance hymn.

"Game Changer” by Argon Sphere, a collaborative tribal piece by Atoned Splendor and Six Ears from China and the emotive closing track by Datacult and GMO are all pieces that push the boundaries of modern Psychedelic Trance by momentarily erasing them.

Alongside these clever re-interpretations and genre bending music, the intensely psychedelic visionary art of Aashit Singh provides visual fuel. His fusion of the old and the new creates a bridge between the past and the present where Plus 6 Mastering full bodied analog sound gives each audible detail a clearly defined space.

Unusual choices. New points of inspiration. A return to the past through the forward looking lens of the now. A selection to remind us that there are no rules & no limits.
