You might notice the time signature changes a few times throughout the song - I'd taken into account what Koji Kondo said about experimenting with time signatures in the original here as well. I wanted this song to be a quirky, weird song that changes up in subtle ways that might not immediately be noticeable - I hope I pulled that off.

8bit Porky Bots - 2016 touchup

Hey! It's been a while.

This is my cover of Unfounded Revenge from Mother 3, which I teased a while back.
Also, the intro sequence is Porky's Theme.

Unfortunately, I haven't played Mother 3 yet. I hope to one day play it when it is officially released in North America! But from what I've heard of the soundtrack, it's fantastic. This is a stand-out song, so I just had to cover it. I went all-out bombastic and zany for this one - hopefully it isn't too loud for you!
There's not much else to say really - this one was a lot of fun to do.

In other news, I plan to announce a pretty big project soon (it relates to my video game covers), so look forward to that in the near future.

What I ended up doing with this one was, I had two versions, in and outside, right? Well, supposedly I was going to have to choose a mere ONE of the midis MS gave me, right? Ha ha haWRONG. I saved the automation shit for the bass channel, drums, and harpsichord/clavi sections of the indoor version, then imported them into the project file I already had for the outdoor version. This is the result, and it is goddamn glorious.
