This isn’t the easiest thing for me to say, but I’m only delaying the inevitable by staying quiet. As of today, the Excess Content Tournament is officially cancelled.

There are a multitude of reasons why we have made this decision (some I world personally rather not discuss), however I want to assure you that none of them are out of disdain for the project itself or the grander tournament community as a whole. While EC didn’t work out, and there are definitely things I would have done differently, I in no way regret starting EC. Working on this project has been a blast, and I’ve gotten some great opportunities and met some even greater people through it.

I won’t leave you empty handed however, we’re gonna show off some of what we had prepared before production stopped, including some cut/scrapped content, and maybe even something special at the end. If I’m not too busy expect some of that to drop throughout the upcoming week.

I’m not sure if I’ll get around to doing another tournament-type project in the future (believe me, I have ideas), but even if I don’t I want to thank everyone who’s stayed with us this long. It genuinely means the world to me that people were interested enough in this silly little tournament to stick around.

It's been now more than a year since I've uploaded something on this account. I hope my upload schedule will be pretty much the same as it was at the time...

 Concerning this mashup, I just want to point out that it is actually the first one in which I used crescendo effect, which was something I never did before and which I've learned so how to do it. It's good because I feel like that it's gonna be useful for other mashups than this one. 

By the way I apologize for the mixing which might be not really good. Oddly enough it lowered the volume of both songs when together, even when I increase the whole mashup, besides the fact that they sound completely normal intrinsically.

Reluctant to interact with the technological beasts of the future, Comedy & Tragedy may be knowledgeable in things like the internet and modern culture, yet they fear robots and AI. Realizing that a lot of their fans enjoy the work of these two as well, Comedy was eventually able to convince Tragedy that it would be beneficial to work with them, and it'd be fun to make fun of their stupid metal bodies of course! (Of course, that never happened, they were scared shitless of the robotic tyrants.) Springtrap was a surprisingly good sport, he was not intimidated by the two and was willing to work with them. He wasn't exactly friendly, but he wasn't that disrespectful either...but it won't always be like that. All a part of the plan, gain their trust. Cabinet Man grows hungrier by the minute, and Springtrap is growing tired. They held back when collaborating with these two, knowing it would give them more of a fighting chance against their first opponent, meaning they could finally get the remnant they need to keep fighting on.

He's no stranger to competition with a successful Super Bowl win under his belt! He's surely a widespread name here on Earth, but what many people don't realize is that his name spreads out into the stars as well. This sportscaster has spent a lot of time on Moonbase Alpha, and uses his extreme wealth to fund the site. Megalolympics is a mashup/musical tournament inspired by the likes of King for a Day, Mashup Week, and Temporary Flight Attendant. In this tournament, sixteen representatives of different forms of media will go one-on-one in musical duels, and you decide the victor. What's the prize for the winner, besides a sense of pride for those they represent? Well, they gain a spark of creation - giving them the ability to create their own alternate universe, for them and whoever they choose to bring. Each character they bring will be granted a theme of their own, and their soundtrack will be for all to hear.
