The Amplified Elephants are an ensemble for sound artists with intellectual disabilities produced by JOLT Arts and Footscray Community Arts Centre’s ArtLife Program since 2006. Mentored by JOLT’s James Hullick, The Elephants’ projects are international, ambitious in scale, and highlight sonic technology: MachiNATIONS Tour (London, Edinb., Tokyo 2014), RE:EVOLITION (Melb. Fest. 2014), SELECT NATURALIS (BIFEM 2015, RMIT 2018), LA LA LULLABY (Fed. Square 2015), SELF SEEKERS (Tokyo, Hong Kong, Macau 2015, FOLA 2018), SHHHH (Meat Market 2016, Hangzhou, HK 2017).
