The Wit and Wisdom of Årabrot 

Rock’n’roll was long dead before Johnny Rotten picked up a microphone.
And a long time buried by the time Oasis chose to molest its putrid carcass.
But the spirit of whence it came still lives on in the blood of those who know its true meaning, symbols and references.

Born of the long dark winters of Norway, Årabrot was too black for metal and too avant-garde for punk, so it forged its own path. 
Hewn from empty roads and the cold impenetrable depths of the fiords of its home.
A Norwegian Gothic, tales sung and stories told in screams and whispers.

With its steel guitar, a steely gaze, a sneer and a Stetson, Årabrot is the bastard offspring of Billie Holiday and Elmore James. It is The Velvet Underground if Johnny Cash was a member and Nico was able to sing. 
It is Camus, Sartre, Poe and Burroughs cut-up and regurgitated in an unholy erotic mass. It is all the great bands you haven’t even heard of. It is you.
It is here, it is now and there are other bodies to bury. Årabrot is not fucking around.

Årabrot is Kjetil “Tall Man” Nernes and Karin “Dark Diva” Park. They live in the Swedish countryside with their two children in the old church that they own. Rock’n roll is their religion.

Schneider TM is a multidimensional music project by Dirk Dresselhaus that oscillates extensively between experimental electronic avant-pop and rather abstract and improvisational material, occasionally bringing these and other seemingly opposing elements together.

Since the mid 90s he released albums on labels like City Slang / Mute, Bureau B, Editions Mego or Karlrecords under this moniker, including singles like ‘Reality Check’, ‘Frogtoise’ or a cover version of a song by The Smiths called ‘The Light 3000’, a collaboration with Kptmichigan that was hugely acclaimed by the alternative media (like John Peel, The Wire etc.) and have made him been credited as one of the main innovators of a music genre called Indietronica.

Solo or as group, Schneider TM has performed a couple of hundreds live concerts around the globe including renowned international festivals like CTM (Berlin), Sonar (Barcelona, Rome, Tokyo), Mutek (Montreal, Mexico City), Roskilde-Festival (DK), Hultsfred Festival (Hultsfred), Frieze Art Fair (London), Phonem Festival (Istanbul), Les Siestes Électroniques (Toulouse), Melt Festival (Gräfenhainichen), Midi Festival (Hyéres), Motomix Festival (Sao Paolo), Todaysart Festival (Den Haag), Dark Mofo (Hobart) and others.

Dirk Dresselhaus’ rather unusual musical methods like e.g. the combination of electroacoustic guitars with modular electronics have practically led him to explore unknown territory on each new release, solo or in diverse short- and long-term collaborations and projects with the likes of Ilpo Väisänen (die Angel, ex-Pan sonic), Zappi W Diermaier (Faust), Reinhold Friedl (zeitkratzer), Oren Ambarchi, Hildur Guðnadóttir, BJ Nilsen, Lucio Capece, Elena Poulou (ex-The Fall), Damo Suzuki (ex-Can), John Duncan (LAFMS), Conrad Schnitzler, Jochen Arbeit & Andrew Unruh (Einstürzende Neubauten) as well as to numerous works in the field of film music, radio plays, (performance-) theater, contemporary dance and general studio production.

Copenhagen’s Anders Trentemøller has long been respected as a creator of extraordinarily memorable melodies and dark soundscapes. While many artists follow a pattern of invention and reinvention, Anders’ arc has been a series of points along the same curve, playing the long game with each release representing the next chapter in a constantly evolving series.

Dreamweaver continues on this track, combining elements of shoegaze, dark wave, motorik, noise rock and somber, introspective takes on electronic pop but in a considerably more psychedelic manner. The chronology of its 10 songs is an immersive experience that presents additional otic pleasures when headphones are strapped on.

Il Trauma Studio è un progetto aperto e collettivo, che da anni promuove artisti e veicola cultura, sia a livello nazionale che internazionale. Chiunque può entrare a far parte del Trauma Studio, con collaborazioni a brevissimo o a lungo termine, dal singolo progetto a un vero e proprio percorso insieme. Il progetto nasce, si consolida e si sviluppa negli ambiti underground della cultura “dal basso”, con gli strumenti dell’autoproduzione, dell’autorganizzazione e della promozione indipendente, e fin dall’inizio dimostra l’aspirazione a voler portare allo scoperto ciò che è “sotterraneo”, dare dignità a chi fin troppo spesso fatica ad emergere e trovare occasioni in cui palesarsi ed esprimersi: negli ultimi 6 anni abbiamo dato spazio e visibilità a centinaia di artisti, fatto talent-scouting, incoraggiato reti di connessioni, promosso collaborazioni artistiche e organizzato eventi corali e multidisciplinari.

Ci confrontiamo con realtà sempre diverse, con la consapevolezza che le differenze sono un arricchimento per tutte le parti coinvolte e che di solito le collaborazioni sono una sfida entusiasmante e un motivo di crescita oltre che fonti di ispirazione e di soddisfazione.
