A listener and curator at heart, his journeys build a distinct atmosphere by focusing on less known artists with unrelenting rhythm, funky sound, and emotional presence. His sets traverse a wide range of house sub-genres; from downtempo & organic house, through dream house, deep tech, deep house, classic house & disco, to driving progressive house, indie dance & melodic techno. Outside of the US hotspots (SF, DC, BK, CHI, MIA, LA), you can expect to travel through Buenos Aires, São Paulo, Melbourne, St. Petersburg, Berlin, Mexico City, and many more flourishing house & techno scenes.

Bisön is a DJ and producer based in Los Angeles. Like many who grew up in the 90s on the East Coast of the United States, he was immediately influenced by American hip-hop and jazz, along with classics in soul and funk. He began playing the violin at an early age, exploring both classical music and modern interpretations of the genres he had grown to love. After graduating from university, Bisön began working at YouTube, where his interactions with the many artists who discovered popularity on the platform inspired him to pursue a more advanced musical career. By 2015, he began performing at parties and events in San Francisco, developing a reputation for blending genres and influences, all the while focused on having fun. After a successful series of produced events under the ‘Bermuda Soul’ moniker, he started to pursue his passion for electronic music full-time in 2018 as a DJ and producer.

Unsurprisingly, Bisön began this career in Berlin, searching for and playing at any club or party that would have him at the helm. After a series of stints in the city, and an increasingly popular mix series known as ‘Sound Galore’, he began to successfully find gigs abroad, playing in more than 10 countries around the world throughout the year. In this time, he found other outlets to develop his creative energy, including the production of a retro-synth short film score (based on the 1950’s novel ‘The Martian Chronicles’), as well as various visual works to accompany his mix series. Looking forward, he has relocated back to Los Angeles and is focused on building a home in its scene, producing a series of tracks and mixes, and hosting a monthly residency to further develop his talents. He has also launched the LA-based event production company HOLOGRAPHIC, and will be building out innovative and multi-sensory events on the West Coast.
