good times writing with GG. Her and I had bounced some ideas around ahead of this particular song. So we already had some practice in for when she finally sent over the idea for “taste like hell”. we knew what kinda production to go for. I think it took getting out a bunch of different ideas to realize it might be kinda cool to figure out how to balance the heavy hitting side of bass music with something more brooding and subtle. In the end we took some extra time to go back and figure out how to do that in a way that felt authentic. sometimes the hardest part is having too many good ideas, and picking the ones that are appropriate for the kinda story we wanted to tell.
