Spatiale et visuelle, la musique de Coldgeist déploie ses décors futuristes dans un univers opacifié. 

Travaillant sur une forme d’hybridation entre le post-punk et la techno, il accorde beaucoup d’importance à l’expérimentation, l’élaboration d’ambiances très marquées, entre lumière et obscurité. 

En 2014 il lance ‘Ritual Process’, plateforme qui permettra de réunir plusieurs acteurs de cette scène particulière comme In Aeternam Vale, Alexey Volkov ou encore Côme.

Il signe ici notre 52ème Pulsation, enregistrée au Rex Club le 21 Mai dernier lors de la Delighted w/ Truss et Polar Inertia.

Daniel Caro Mejia aka DCM (Discos Nutabe) est un jeune dj/producteur basé à Medellín (Colombie). 

Artiste aux multiples références musicales, Daniel s'oriente rapidement vers la House et signe son 1er EP "Origenes" sur le label colombien Discos Nutabe. Très discret, ses représentations se font rare et c'est avec grand plaisir que nous l'accueillons avec cette 53ème Pulsation.

53ème Pulsation - DCM

Moreno Mariotti aka Dorian Gray est un dj/producteur originaire de Côme (Italie) mais réside la moitié du temps à Berlin. 

Il tire son nom de scène du personnage d'Oscar Wilde, qui échange son âme contre une vie éternelle de débauche. 

Ses premières influences viennent de la New Wave des années 80 mais aussi du jazz, qui lui ont permis d'inventer le terme d' "afro-futuristic techno". Orienté Dark Techno, son amour pour l'Underground se ressent fréquemment dans ses réalisations. On peut les ressentir comme un livre retraçant une multitudes de péchés, qu'il aimerait nous raconter par le biais de sonorités ambientes et hypnotiques.

54ème Pulsation - DORIAN GRAY

Mike Sharon est un jeune dj/producteur venu tout droit de Jérusalem (Israël). 

Depuis son plus jeune il est baigné dans différents styles musicaux qui le mèneront progressivement vers l'univers house ou les beats sont de rigueurs, avec par exemple le Garage ou encore l'Acid. Plus tard, chez lui, il se penche vers des sonorités plus Deep, Funk mais également Techno, lui permettant ainsi de parfaire son oreille musicale. 

C'est à l'age de 18 ans qu'il sort son premier EP sur un label allemand appelé Substatic. Les années suivantes, il continua à créer de nouveaux projets, tous réussis, comme Tessera en 2009 avec un remix de Chez Damier ou Rick Wade, sur des labels tels que Local Talk, Traxx Underground, A Fistful Of Wax, Release London, MyHouse YourHouse ou encore Ultra Knites Record sous Mike Sharon.

55ème Pulsation - MIKE SHARON

Ivan Seoane est un jeune dj/producteur basé à Buenos Aires (Argentine).

C'est en 2003 que le jeune Ivan, âgé de 11 ans, découvre la musique électronique par l'intermédiaire de son oncle, DJ résidant porté sur la Techno.

Ce mentor contribuera grandement durant les années suivantes à son éducation musicale. Ivan fait ses classes devant les platines, et étudie la production musicale, avec Seph & Jonas Kopp. 

Ces différentes étapes lui ont permis de gagner en maturité et de travailler son propre style. Aujourd'hui, grâce à son travail et au soutien d'artistes qu'il admire, Ivan est à la tête de son propre label : Armed Records

56ème Pulsation - IVÁN SEOANE

Découvrant la musique électronique à la fin des années 90, le mystérieux projet Côme est né en 2011, axé principalement sur la Techno, avec une approche contemporaine.

Influencé autant par le son originel de Detroit de Jeff Mills et UR que par le travail industriel et sombre de Trent Reznor ou de collectifs comme Sandwell District, Basic Channel, Avian, Jealous God… 

Durant l’année 2015 il prend part au label français Ritual Process et sort avec Coldgeist « A Court of Initiation », un split EP contenant notamment les remixes de In Aeternam Vale et Alexey Volkov.

57ème Pulsation - CÔME

Andrew Emil has been a respected fixture and familiar face in Chicago’s vibrant and diverse music scene for over a decade and a half. A concert-trained percussionist since age 11, Emil earned a chair in his native Kansas City Symphony, but eventually moved to Chicago in the late nineties to attend Columbia College and study audio engineering and music composition. It was during this time that his passion for all forms of art, including audio and visual, led both Emil and his brother Erik Christian to begin organizing and hosting gallery events that integrated sound, graphics and graffiti. The result was a series of parties that fused a multitude of artistic mediums into one all-encompassing culture of creative expression.

For Emil—who has been deeply entrenched in Chicago’s thriving house music scene since its heyday in the 1990s—such projects embodied what he considered to be the future of Chicago’s claim-to-electronic-music-fame. Not surprisingly, they also served as the impetus for his decision to develop a new imprint of his own: four play music. These days, Emil’s sound reflects an eclectic and mature marriage of classic and contemporary elements of Chicago house, infused with the jazz and soul undercurrents that have been with him since his early days as a budding musician and sound engineer.

One of the earlier innovators of the "Jackin House" genre under the Broadway & Wilson moniker with Jeff Bloom, Andrew is never content to stay in one place or style of musical thought for very long.

58ème Pulsation - ANDREW EMIL

Damon Vallero is a DJ and producer who runs Downstream and Electracom labels.

His DJing and live performances have provided him with regular sets in clubs and festivals across Europe, while his music under various guises has been aired on MTV, the BBC and played by the likes of Richie Hawtin, Dave Clarke and some of the world's top DJs. Predominantly a techno artist in the past, Damon, now producing as Servent, recently released the electronica album ‘Artifacts of Life’ (Downstream - DSR26) where he explored the more atmospheric shades and elements of techno.

New releases are forthcoming from Damon under his Servent guise in the near future.

59ème Pulsation - DAMON VALLERO

From Zona Oeste, Buenos Aires and with only 23 years old, Joaquín Ruiz is one of the newest artists of the argentinian underground techno scene. 

With a solid and promising career, he leads the local scene, inspiring himself from a few of the world's top DJs as Tommy Four Seven, DVS1, Ben Klock , Marcel Dettmann, among others. 

He played with a lot of great artists such as Rebekah, Pfirter, Raffaele Attanasio, Jonas Kopp, Flug, Hans Bouffmyhre, Kyle Geiger, Truncate... as the resident DJ of the Under Club, emblematic night club in Buenos Aires.

60ème Pulsation - JOAQUÍN RUIZ

Born between charm and 'iron powders' of industrial city of Taranto (South Italy) in 1990, graduated in communication, he expressed his versatility through music in a vortex between echoes of memories and innovation.

Sound proposed is a mix coming from the HardGroove Made In UK passing through Detroit Drums and Berlin-Dub sonorities, reworked in a modern key and contaminated by most everything which characterized his hearing in recent years: a music search without fronts. Commitment, determination and charisma generated the dynamism through which Marco Bruno's vibrations spin around.

61ème Pulsation - MARCO BRUNO

In 2004 Gabriel de la vega, with only 12 he began listening to electronic music through a friend who, at that moment they both heard "RAP"

By the time he decided to learn music and to mix that he liked, (Techno).

In 2013 Gabriel founded the techno label called "Armed Records". He shares the label with 4 friends "ISZ, 6DEL, Darkotic, Ivan Seoane".

He produces under the pseudonym "9192" with his friend Lukas Seidel "6DEL" where they released recordings on labels such as Garden, Fund, NuLabel, Betanol Records and more District.

62ème Pulsation - GABRIEL DE LA VEGA

Corrado Cardone aka Konrad, was born in Trani (Puglia-IT). Since childhood he cultivated his passion for electronic music especially for Techno Music.

In 2006 he started his career of dj inspired by international djs like Jeff Mills, Marco Carola, Luciano and Loco Dice. In 2011 Konrad start to produce music and release the first EP with his friend Francesco De Marzo.

Later he started to work with labels like Trau-ma of Robert Silva (PT) and Sk-Recordings of Antonio Lananna releasing his first EPs alone. 

His first album “EXTREME TENSION” (SK) composed by 12 tracks Techno/Tech-House and two EPs Dub Techno and Acid (Trau-ma). Konrad plays in a lot of local clubs like Don Giò (Taranto), Mandarino Club (Ginosa Marina), Public (Corato), Divinae Follie (Bisceglie) and Parco Gondar (Gallipoli) in parties with international djs like Joseph Capriati, Luigi Madonna, Dasha Rush and more.

Nowadays he’s one of resident djs of Mandarino Club and an important member of the SK Recordings.

63ème Pulsation - KONRAD

Techno hit Japan hard in the early 1990s. Surprised, Takaaki Itoh was quickly impressed and intrigued with this new sound. 

The unique style of beats revealed the gateway to a new world of underground music in Japan - something he had never heard before. Surprise slowly gave way to addiction when Takaaki Itoh was exposed to the sounds of such artists and labels as Underground Resistance, Derrick May, Jeff Mills, Hardfloor, Sven Väth, Harthouse, Warp and Rising High. This was his sound, and deciding he just couldn't get enough of it, in 1994 Takaaki began to organize his own techno parties in his home of northern Japan. By providing a fantastic lineup, his parties quickly became a success.

In 1996, having decided that it was time to start making his own tracks, Takaaki Itoh emerged to purchase the vital instruments to begin production. After sending out three finished projects to various labels, Electracom UK was fortunate enough to put Takaaki's first material out. This moment was something he will never forget, as he was finally able to hear his own music on vinyl. Several releases followed with Electracom as his tracks began to appear in magazine DJ charts in well known DJs from around the world. 

In 2000, Takaaki Itoh made his European debut in Slovakia. People recognized that he had his own style. His Japanese style of techno was pure, unique and underground - nothing that had been heard before in Europe. His reputation and popularity quickly spread all over the continent. He was becoming recognized as Japan's most underground and respected techno DJ.

As of 2001 he was getting offers to perform at large clubs and festivals all over Europe, including Cosmic Trip and Svojsice in the Czech Republic, The Darkside in England, MTW in Germany, Awakenings and Reactor in Holland, Mayday and Sziget in Hungary, La Real and Code in Spain, Boomerang in Slovakia, Projekt in Belgium, as well as events in Bosnia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Poland, Portugal, Serbia. Slovenia.. Promoters wanting him, party people loving him, Takaaki Itoh took the next step and started his own label Wols. Passion led to success and Takaaki became recognized as the top of the next generation of techno music.

By 2005 Takaaki Itoh has released over 50 original productions on many different european labels like Sheep, Tsunami, Warm Up, Theory, MB Selektions, Integrale Muzique, etc. He’s also developed a reputation for remixing globally established techno artists such as Gennaro Le Fosse, Oscar Mulero, Christian Wünsch and more to come. His demand is rapidly growing beyond his Asian and European roots, to places like South America, Australia, the US and Canada.

Born in Patagonia, Argentina, Szeb was influenced by electronic music during his early age, where he acquired a very selective taste.

He started as a DJ in 1999, but the need to make his own productions began in 2004, always with a dark and hypnotic sound of techno music.

Currently, his productions are heard worldwide in labels such as
Dead Cert (UK), Monocline Records (Portugal), Hypnotic Room (Japan), Italo Business (Italy), Vector Functions (Mexico) Subsist (Spain), Graphene (Berlin)...

Merv is a mid 90's dub techno act coming from an isolated small island near Denmark. 

In the year 1995, arose "Melted Vein". Hypnotized, and very much inspired from the Basic Channel Berlin sound from that same year. 

Merv has always educed their own variation their own soul. You can hear it by the track "Dust", from 1998, another great masterpiece! Pads and melodies, from different galaxies, mixed with ascending chords, kept together with the 909. These two tracks, two epic tracks . 

The pure Merv magic is out again in 2015 on Styrax Records. A reissue that has been re-mastered at the traditionally Berlin Mastering Studios D&M!

Altinbas is a belgian DJ and producer based in Brussels. 

Fascinated by the club experience, his musical influences are wide but he's firmly focused on Techno.

Resident of all the events presented by Trahace, he released this October 2015 his debut EP "Imminent Probe" on TWR72's imprint Float Records.

A mainstay of the Portland and Seattle scenes since the late 90's, Pacific Northwest native Trevor Vichas has entertained audiences with his mesmerizing blend of house, garage, and techno meets jazz, disco, and hip hop; warm rolling basslines, hypnotic chord progressions, and soulful vocals that speak with a message of love. With his production reflecting early influences of both classic Chicago and Detroit house and techno, it's not surprising that his love of all things funk, soul, hip-hop, and disco pulse through him; giving his unique sound the infectious ingredients that make you want to jump up and get out on the floor.

Trevor has held regular residencies in Portland and Seattle since 2005; he has traveled from Seattle to San Francisco to Honolulu to Miami pushing his sound to broader audiences and gaining popularity across the country, yet keeps his feet planted firmly in his own backyard by contributing to the progression of his local scene through booking national and international acts, further placing the Northwest on the map of “don’t miss” places to experience performing. Trevor has contributed guest mixes for some notable podcasts, including UglyHouse, House Salad, Jacking Beatz Collective, 5Magazine New Mix Mondays, and HAWT Music’s HAWTCast. Trevor currently maintains a residency on Chicago House FM and broadcasts both his personal sessions and live events on the Florida-based radio station.

Trevor launched into producing in 2008 and immediately received positive response to his creations, securing his tracks in playlists of industry heavy-hitters such as Mark Farina, DJ Sneak, Derrick Carter, Iz & Diz, Phil Weeks, Hector Morales, and DJ Heather. Additionally, Trevor has collaborated with notable artists such as Craig Hamilton, Andrew Lozano, Tommy Largo, and Terry Mullan; completed remixes for successful artists such as Chuck Love, Chemars, Filta Freqz, and Dave Allison, and has also found himself being remixed by the likes of Mark Castley, Flapjackers, Tom Special Interest, and Nonfiction.
