Seguim Records, a Barcelona-based label rooted in retro-futuristic electronic music, continues its pursuit with the release of its third EP: “The Rabbit Hole V.A.”. This marks their inaugural venture into the realm of original productions, following their first two acclaimed edit releases. 

As their first EP distributed via Subwax, it solidifies their commitment to maintaining an underground stance while delivering authentic, unfiltered sounds. The tracks weave a diverse tapestry of house, techno, breaks, and trance, all meticulously crafted to energize the club scene and keep the momentum alive.

On the A side, the EP features three compelling tracks from Vince Void and Alex Garcia, highlighting their eclectic influences and forward-thinking approach.

Following the success of last year’s Dance State EP, Berlin-based artist Revivis returns to his Santo Tomas label with Energy Ghosts—a tightly focused four-tracker built for peak-time dancefloors.

Leaning into stripped-back, percussive grooves, the EP takes cues from early 2000s and 2010s tech house, filtered through Revivis’s crisp, contemporary production style.

SLUW002 - Baby Rollén & Ollie Rant 'Worthless' (clips)

Andrew Emil has been a respected fixture and familiar face in Chicago’s vibrant and diverse music scene for over a decade and a half. A concert-trained percussionist since age 11, Emil earned a chair in his native Kansas City Symphony, but eventually moved to Chicago in the late nineties to attend Columbia College and study audio engineering and music composition. It was during this time that his passion for all forms of art, including audio and visual, led both Emil and his brother Erik Christian to begin organizing and hosting gallery events that integrated sound, graphics and graffiti. The result was a series of parties that fused a multitude of artistic mediums into one all-encompassing culture of creative expression.

For Emil—who has been deeply entrenched in Chicago’s thriving house music scene since its heyday in the 1990s—such projects embodied what he considered to be the future of Chicago’s claim-to-electronic-music-fame. Not surprisingly, they also served as the impetus for his decision to develop a new imprint of his own: four play music. These days, Emil’s sound reflects an eclectic and mature marriage of classic and contemporary elements of Chicago house, infused with the jazz and soul undercurrents that have been with him since his early days as a budding musician and sound engineer.

One of the earlier innovators of the "Jackin House" genre under the Broadway & Wilson moniker with Jeff Bloom, Andrew is never content to stay in one place or style of musical thought for very long.

Merv is a mid 90's dub techno act coming from an isolated small island near Denmark. 

In the year 1995, arose "Melted Vein". Hypnotized, and very much inspired from the Basic Channel Berlin sound from that same year. 

Merv has always educed their own variation their own soul. You can hear it by the track "Dust", from 1998, another great masterpiece! Pads and melodies, from different galaxies, mixed with ascending chords, kept together with the 909. These two tracks, two epic tracks . 

The pure Merv magic is out again in 2015 on Styrax Records. A reissue that has been re-mastered at the traditionally Berlin Mastering Studios D&M!

A mainstay of the Portland and Seattle scenes since the late 90's, Pacific Northwest native Trevor Vichas has entertained audiences with his mesmerizing blend of house, garage, and techno meets jazz, disco, and hip hop; warm rolling basslines, hypnotic chord progressions, and soulful vocals that speak with a message of love. With his production reflecting early influences of both classic Chicago and Detroit house and techno, it's not surprising that his love of all things funk, soul, hip-hop, and disco pulse through him; giving his unique sound the infectious ingredients that make you want to jump up and get out on the floor.

Trevor has held regular residencies in Portland and Seattle since 2005; he has traveled from Seattle to San Francisco to Honolulu to Miami pushing his sound to broader audiences and gaining popularity across the country, yet keeps his feet planted firmly in his own backyard by contributing to the progression of his local scene through booking national and international acts, further placing the Northwest on the map of “don’t miss” places to experience performing. Trevor has contributed guest mixes for some notable podcasts, including UglyHouse, House Salad, Jacking Beatz Collective, 5Magazine New Mix Mondays, and HAWT Music’s HAWTCast. Trevor currently maintains a residency on Chicago House FM and broadcasts both his personal sessions and live events on the Florida-based radio station.

Trevor launched into producing in 2008 and immediately received positive response to his creations, securing his tracks in playlists of industry heavy-hitters such as Mark Farina, DJ Sneak, Derrick Carter, Iz & Diz, Phil Weeks, Hector Morales, and DJ Heather. Additionally, Trevor has collaborated with notable artists such as Craig Hamilton, Andrew Lozano, Tommy Largo, and Terry Mullan; completed remixes for successful artists such as Chuck Love, Chemars, Filta Freqz, and Dave Allison, and has also found himself being remixed by the likes of Mark Castley, Flapjackers, Tom Special Interest, and Nonfiction.
