He officially launched his solo project in 2010 and from this point forward, Nick started producing sounds and music that shook the dance floor, yet bestowed captivating melodies and emotional soundscapes, allowing people to create their own story within his productions. Ever since then, Nick’s career swiftly evolved and 2015 was his most successful year to date with two huge EP’s titled “The Poem” and “Cosmos”. His remix on Innellea - Colante quickly followed in 2016 and with all three EP’s released on Steyoyoke Recordings, it clearly affirmed just why he is considered a core member of this Berlin based collective. His tracks have been remixed by the likes of Kellerkind, Rolland Appel and Cid Inc and with an ever growing fan base, his music is regularly played and supported by some of the biggest DJs around the globe. Throughout his career, Nick has released originals and produced remixes on a number of labels such as, iRecords, Union Jack, 3AM, Blindfold Recordings, Us & Them, Steyoyoke and Inside Out Records. It’s only the start of 2016 and with a string of upcoming releases to look forward to, Nick Devon certainly has some exciting things on the horizon.

Gerade in Kalifornien gibt es seit ein paar Jahren eine stetig wachsende Downtempo Szene. Eine meiner liebsten Entdeckungen ist hier definitiv Hilary Mertaugh aus San Franzisco. Ihre Mixe haben immer diese gewisse eigene Handschrift, sind perfekt abgemischt und stets sind die Stimmungsbögen ein Traum.

Hilary ist in einer äußerst musikalischen Familie mit der riesigen Folkmusic-Plattensammlung ihrer Eltern aufgewachsen … (hört man ihrem Sound durchaus auch an). Bevor sie endgültige dem elektronischem Downtempo verfallen ist, hat Hilary jahrelang Geige für Square Dance gespielt. Hierher rührt glaube ich auch ihr perfektes Rhythmus-Gespür.

Für sound(ge)cloud hat sich Hilary mächtig ins Zeug gelegt und uns eine über 2 stündige Geschichte zusammengestrickt, vollgepackt mit der kalifornischen Sonne. Hilary es ist mir ein große Freude dich in meiner Reihe zu wissen und tausend Dank für deine  umwerfende Musik.

Und meinen Hörer wünsch ich einen guten Start in die OpenAir Saison … dass der Sommer sonnige Momente für euch bereit hält. Euer Uwe

Every year we migrate to a place we call }'{ome.  A magical place where we can be free and express ourselves... 

Sunrises at Deep Playa are of the most majestic spectacles we can ever witness.  So beautiful and powerful!  It inspires, it energizes, it renews, it gives hope to our souls.

I miss our }'{ome so much and I hope we can migrate very soon!

I picture my self sitting in the dark waiting for the sun to arrive, I can hear the music playing inside my head.  

I would like to share with you this magical journey welcoming the sunrise at deep playa...  I hope you enjoy it as much as I did, now close your eyes and let yourself free.
