DJ Pixie, a legend of the Czech drum&bass scene starts as a dj at the beginning of the new millennium. In 2001 he begins with techno and broken beats as a resident dj of T2B sound system in Prague and also he becomes one of the founding members of Let It Roll crew. An unknown crew, which becomes more and more influential over the coming years, it was mostly Pixie and his partner, DJ Suki who became the best known names of the crew and their fame skyrockets.
Both of these pioneers sets the trend not only in drum&bass music, but also in party promoting in general, there are more and more fans in all corners of the Czech Republic, who wants to witness their phenomenal audiovisual shows. Pixie makes drum&bass part of a local popular culture, and becomes fairly realized for his style of fast and very precise mixing and original musical ideas, he earns respect both from his fans and also other djs.
Pixie’s live performances are full of unlimited energy, his sets have a story and gradation and you can hear various subgenres all mixed together. His passion for music and djing earns him his first awards and since then, he is constantly recognized as the best dj in Czech Drum and Bass Awards (within the years 2007-2018, he has won the first place nine times, and finishes third three times).
He is always full of new ideas, has a deep knowledge of all the types of electronic music, he can compose a set with a story and development and can fascinate live audiences with his performance - these are the best characteristics of this unique dj. Not limited to drum&bass only, recently he plays techno and minimal techno sets yet again, coming back to his original roots and showcasing many faces dj Pixie has.

Giana Brotherz are undoubtedly one of the most incomparable artists within the German Drum&Bass scene. It all started back in 2000 when the producer duo SSB (aka Chicken & Sola) formed the Drum & Bass live project Giana Brotherz, that created a stir within the scene from the word go. Their first releases on Basswerk & Pathfinder attained international recognition and was played by almost every well-known DJ across the board at the time. Their follow up single ‘Crossed Roots’ (Basswerk 015) was one of the most significant releases of 2002.  It was only a matter of time before the duo started getting recognized for their talents and the motherland of Drum & Bass ‘the UK’ would come calling and start paying attention. 2003 saw the inauguration of their own label ‘Giana Brotherz Recordings’; which quickly established itself and became home to many renowned artists and their high-quality productions. The guys touring schedule intensified due to their immense popularity. Chicken, one half of the duo, who is known for his capacity to transport the energy of a live concert into his DJ sets, with amazing performances and stage presence. Anyone who has experienced one of his DJ performances comprehends his outstanding talent in blending Drum & Bass, Dubstep and Breaks like no other. A little bit about René LaVice

From the humble beginnings of finding out about Drum & Bass music via the late night broadcasts on Toronto’s College Radio stations (88.1FM & 89.5FM) while growing up, René has travelled worlds away from where he started. Flash forward a decade or so, René’s own productions are now hailed around the world as some of the genre’s most iconic and innovative records in electronic dance music. He’s flown worldwide performing shows and cultivating the sound of Drum & Bass as a true tastemaker and leader in the genre. 

As though coming full circle, René was approached by the BBC about creating his own specialist show on Radio 1, so in 2017, following in the footsteps of legendary former hosts Fabio & Grooverider, and Friction, René is now the Drum & Bass representative on the world’s biggest platform. 
 
As a producer, René LaVice’s sounds are unmistakable. Known for combining different styles and influences with his own sensibility, his music has a thumbprint which stands out in the mix. Nowhere could this be more evident than in his first breakthrough track ‘Headlock,’ which took the scene by storm and turned heads of tastemakers worldwide onto what would soon become one of dance music’s most exciting producers. Since then, René’s made a string of hits, such as The Calling ft. Ivy Mairi, a musical hybrid unlike any other which was A-Listed on Radio 1 for weeks and hit the billboard top 40 dance chart. 

Renowned for his remix track record and ability to turn a song upside down, he has remixed an impressive roster of artists such as Diplo, DJ Fresh, Craig David & The Prodigy, making him a highly sought after remix artist.  He released 3 albums on the illustrious Ram Records which earned him the respect of young fans and veteran DJ’s alike. 

Having the support of touring Drum & Bass royalty such as Andy C, Goldie & Randall combined with attention from Radio presenters and tastemakers such as Annie Mac, Mistajam, Zane Lowe, Nick Grimshaw, Greg James, and Scott Mills is like a dream to any young producer and René’s skills as a performer and a DJ have been consolidated thanks to touring all around the globe and turning even the most unlikely shows upside down. Known for crowdsurfing at his gigs, he may sound like a bit of 
an anomaly when it comes to dance music. The excitement he feels from his music is as captivating as it is infectious. Having performed shows at major festivals such as Glastonbury, Download, EDC, and world class venues like Brixton Academy, Fabric, and Alexandra Palace, René has evolved into one of the most exciting headlining acts in dance music. 

Now living in London, UK, one can only speculate where René LaVice’s journey through music will lead next.

I have been mixing since around 2003 so love ALL styles of DnB and try to incorporate as much of that into my sets as possible using up to five decks in a set. All of my sets are recorded on Turntables or Turntables and CDJs together.
