This week on the Ismcast we have LACCHESI.

The Paris based Frenchman has been kind enough to supply this weeks mix for our ismcast series. Lacchesi, co-founder of Maison Close, has been on the rise for some time now releasing music regularly on his own imprint as well as remixing for great artists such as Darzack. He has also dropped tracks which he has worked on alongside artists such as ABSL, Francois X and Mac Declos to name just a few.

The mix is just over an hour of bouncy, abstract techno displaying quite a unique sound which we absolutely love.

With releases on Soma Records and a residency at the world renowned Sub Club, AISHA has cemented herself at the forefront of the Scotland’s dense underground techno scene, while establishing herself as one to watch with her heavyweight productions and energy soaked sets.

AISHA’s sound spans from hard trance to raw, pumping techno, and her sets are as versatile as they are incendiary, leading her to play for the likes of Teletech and Possession. 

She has released on labels such as Taapion, Soma and Maison Close to name a few, as well as winning Best Electronic at 2021’s Scottish Alternative Music Awards. Her latest ‘Helfy Rapid EP’, a collab with fellow Scot Franck, garnered huge success and was a hit on dancefloors across the globe.

With an already burgeoning gig diary and upcoming releases on some of Europe’s finest record labels, she is poised to take on the world’s dancefloors.

Hard Dance 198: AISHA

Recording of my set from UNFOLD L // 09.04.23

3 months after the dust settled on that mammoth event, I'm now able to share the live recording of my set from Unfold L with you.

Sharing the dance floor with so many beautiful souls was an experience I will never forget, and I'm forever grateful to my friends at @foldldn for trusting me to take on the sunrise slot, and to hand the mantle over to the creators of Unfold. This slot was both an honour and a pleasure (and slightly terrifying), and a task I did not take lightly!

This set felt like a signature moment in crafting my taste, taking the opportunity to explore more raw and textural sounds whilst still delivering a hard, driving and bouncing energy to lock you into the dance, with moments of elation and relief throughout.

Love to the whole FOLD team for hosting the event and welcoming us into your home, and big shouts to all the artists throughout the day who absolutely slayed their sets. It was a pleasure to share the line up with such incredible talent from start to finish!

Let's welcome @melati3000 for the 62nd episode of our MITSUcast mix series. 
She is rapidly becoming a favorite in the high-speed music scene, renowned for her distinctive, energetic sets that blend bright, diabolic, and psychedelic sounds. As a DJ, venue manager, and promoter, she has significantly impacted London's SET Vault and founded the trance-techno club night SLIVER. Her career includes performances at major events like Unfold and Rote Sonne and a signing with Para//e/ agency.

A familiar face to many in the London community, Melati is a beacon of light both behind the decks, as well as behind the scenes. On top of recognition from prolific platforms such as Unfold, FLŪXO, Technomate, Para//e/, RSO, Rote Sonne and Den Anden Side, she has recently birthed her own trance-techno club night Sliver and continues to be a key member of the small team behind London’s newly-favoured intimate venue SET Vault.

What a m o m e n t ! For those who don't know, the Steam Room at Unfold is where anything goes. For me, this room is for fun times, good vibes and pure elation so this is the feeling I wanted to gift to everyone in that space that day. 

This mix flows between my favourite feel good genres, from Baile, Bass, Techno and Trance. Raw and unplanned; it's sexy, sleezy, groovy and vibrant... and juicy AF 💦

I was fully expecting to open to an empty room but to see so many people walk in quite literally the moment I started was so so special, only topped by seeing it completely packed out by the time two hours had gone by 🥹

Thank you to everyone who came and shared the purest form of joy with me and the biggest love and thanks to @jamesnewmarch @voicedrone for the invite and all my family at @foldldn for creating such a powerful space ✧˖*°࿐

UNFOLD LXXXV: MELATI [steam room: opening set]

Live recording of my opening set for Unfold XC, New Years Day 2025. 

Waking from a world of hazy dreams she flows among landscapes of consciousness, following the very instincts of her primal nature, yielding to in a dance already lost to time itself... 

With less than a week before the well anticipated 100th Unfold, I revisit my opening set from one of the last extended editions, the 90th Unfold back on New Years Day. Every Unfold is an honour to play, but kicking off the first Unfold of the year was a special one for me, and seemed to spark 
the threads of an already gorgeous year. 

Extended Unfold's are a beast of nature. The opening set always sets the tone for an event and for one such as this it was integral to approach this task with grace and consideration. This one is naturally very differen to my typical sound. She takes her time to build the floor, weaving between trance and techno from 125 to 140 over the duration of 2 beautiful hours.

As an artist, venue manager and promoter, Melati’s relationship with music is intrinsic to every aspect of their life. From a Masters of Architecture that explores the spatial, social and political position of nightclubs in a city to a tangible body of on-the-ground work in venues, Melati has lived and breathed the spaces in which we find sanctuary throughout all of their adult career.
