After having blowing each other’s minds for years with their hard-earned audio finds, Andrew Weatherall and Sean Johnston decided to organize their own club night in 2010 in order to give their sound an outlet. On July 26th both gentlemen came to Trouw together for the first time and gave us an amazing set filled with primitive house, post-punk, dub, krautrock, disco and new beat. We've isolated a couple of hours of this all night long set by the wonderful music connaisseurs for this twelfth edition of the Trouw Live Podcast Series!

With a passion for music developed at a young age, Lakuti’s sound has developed since her move to the UK in the 1990s to one that seamlessly blends a wide range of genres from house, techno, disco, Afrobeat and beyond.

Alongside her DJ career, Lakuti has been instrumental in fostering creativity within the industry. In 2001, she co-founded the Uzuri Recordings label, which has since become a respected platform for groundbreaking artists. Through Uzuri, Lakuti has championed innovative sounds, pushing boundaries and introducing emerging talents to a global audience.‍

Also known for her activism and commitment to social change, using her platform to address issues of diversity, equality, and inclusivity within the music industry, Lakuti's dedication to her craft extends beyond the DJ booth and record label. With a tireless efforts to create more inclusive spaces have inspired and empowered countless individuals, Lakuti is blossoming into a true icon in the industry.

TradeMark, aka UK artist, Mark Wardel, has designed the stunning new Glitterbox artwork, while masterminding the performance side, club collective Savage will consist of three different dance crews (Sink The Pink, Hot Heels & Nutbags) who will all bring their own unique energy to the night.
