Nikko Gerena is a DJ and producer from NYC, now based in Charlotte, North Carolina. Known for his vibrant and genre-blending sound, Nikko carved out his signature style while living in Puerto Rico in 2014, fusing Latin rhythms, house energy, and NYC grit into one bold sonic identity.

His music draws from a wide palette, House, Salsa, Hip Hop, Reggaeton, and Afro Beats, all wrapped in the unmistakable swagger and soul of New York. It’s a sound that feels global but deeply personal, made for the dancefloor and rooted in cultural authenticity.

After moving back to New York in 2017, Nikko embedded himself deeper into the city’s thriving underground scene, living in Williamsburg, Brooklyn and Astoria, Queens. During this time, he made his first releases as a producer, began collaborating with Cocotaso Records, and performed at some of NYC’s top nightclubs, building a reputation for high-energy, rhythm-forward sets that connect deeply with dancers.

His discography includes releases on respected labels like Dobar House (Croatia), Jack City Records, and Rawsome Recordings, with growing international recognition. In 2024 his track "Good Groove" (off his Jack City EP) reached #13 on Beatport’s Jackin House Top 100, and the full release hit #2 on the Top 100 Jackin House Releases. His single “Like Before” on Dobar House also climbed to #37 on Beatport’s Hype House Top 100, gaining airplay from Ibiza Global Radio and Motive Radio (Motive Records AU).


Now based in Charlotte, NC, Nikko is expanding his creative reach. He recently launched his own label, Lower LVL Records, and is curating underground events while continuing to push his sound forward. With fresh releases lined up for summer and fall 2025, Nikko Gerena remains a name to watch in the evolving world of underground house music, always creating movement, honoring the culture, and staying true to the roots.
