After spending the past 4 months on Beatport's Top 100 Hype Charts, Melleefresh's electro pop anthem Memories gets a swath of banging remixes.

Memories: The Remixes features an incredibly diverse selection of dance genres - house, tech house, tribal house, melodic techno, wave, hard dance, and progressive trance - from an array of remix artists - Germany's Jay Frog, the UK's Danny Jay, America's Fyoomz, and Canadians dj genderfluid, MXJ, 303 Dreams and Melleefresh herself.

"Though I recorded my vocals before the pandemic began," explains Melleefresh, "it's actually a really appropriate tune for what we're all going through."

A self-taught musician and one of the early pioneers of the Wave genre, "Papa" Fyoomz has established his own darker style within Wave, influenced by Deep Dubstep, DnB, and other fellow Wave artists.

In 2017, Fyoomz founded vibe.digital as a radio show on KRUI, 100.1 FM in Iowa City, Iowa, focusing on the Wave scene and its related artists. The support for the show was enormous, both in social media shares and in artists from around the world submitting music to get plays. After careful deliberation, Fyoomz turned vibe.digital into a record label in conjunction with Djedi and M!NGO. Now he is A&R and co-founder of "vibe.digital Recordings," a forward thinking platform created around forming global interpersonal connections through music and art.

In 2020, his remake/cover of 'Deadmau5 - Faxing Berlin' was signed by Play Records, the label that released the original song. It is one of 4 tracks that round out his debut "Fyoomz EP," an optimistic take on Wave during the uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic, bringing the Wave sound to one of Canada’s leading electronic music labels.

Expect tour dates around the USA, and a return to a darker, more cinematic sound, with experiments in bass synthesis for his "Predetermination EP," due out in 2024.

Melleefresh has been an avant-garde performer and producer in the Canadian arts scene for nearly 30 years. She is currently the President of @PlayRecords (US/UK).

Among the many artists with whom Melleefresh has collaborated through Play Records are Dirty 30 aka Alixander lll, Billy Newton-Davis, Calvertron, Hoxton Whores, 40oz Profits, Gettoblaster, Jerome Robbins, MC Flipside, Boy Pussy and SpekrFreks.

In 2004, Melleefresh was looking for artists to remix a Carole Pope album and was introduced to a young DJ from Niagara Falls using the moniker deadmau5. Signing him to Play Records, Melleefresh and deadmau5 collaborated on many tracks in the label's repertoire, including the 2008 Juno Award-nominated After Hours.

Most recently, Melleefresh opened Play Deep with Zach Brown-Smith (DJ Spydabrown). Located in London's posh King's Cross neighbourhood, Play Deep is a 3-storey, 3-room state-of-the-art recording studio that has served as a recording venue for The Spice Girls, the Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson, Ellie Goulding, Rita Ora, Wretch 32, Giggs, Emeli Sande, Canada's Keiza, DJ Jazzy Jeff, and Popcaan, among others.
