"Inside" is song about unconditional love – accepting all the flaws and being truly vulnerable with another person by letting past doubts go. The composition juxtaposes intimate instrumentation in the verses with explosive choruses and concludes with a triumphant outro leaving you with a sense of euphoria.

Empire is the debut single from Long Distances, an indie rock trio of Aarifah Rebello, Apurv Agrawal and Zubin Pastakia. Dreamy, evocative vocals sit within a soundscape of chimey, melodic guitar leads, gritty rhythm parts, glassy synths and pounding drums (played by Jai Row Kavi). The song twists and turns, ending up, sonically, at a very different place from where it began. Mali (Maalavika Manoj) adds her poignant harmonies to the mix through the song. 

The song speaks to the impermanent nature of power. Whether it's massive political forces that now seem omnipotent, or, the tyranny of the little despots that live amongst us, they are all eventually doomed to fall.
