Words can not begin to describe all the feelings that the Crop Psycles Collective stir up within me, even as I type an uncontrollable smile has erupted on my face! Each and every member shines in their own special way as they share their knowledge, skills, humour, playful vibes and unconditional kindness with each other and the wider community.

I am beyond thankful for the time and energy invested by all of the crew over the years to continually create cosy welcoming spaces for all to enjoy...Always inspired by the creativity, in awe of the presision tarping - truly a sight to behold! And now humbled by their hospitalitea this particular weekend as I accepted an invite to play music as well as many many games!(The mini golf tale of kismet is one for the books!)

There is no denying the ripple effect from the epicentre of this crop cluster and the good they are doing with their precious time on Earth is just so damn impressive it makes me feel like one lucky gal to be in their orbit!

What an honour it was to play music I love by the sea inside a kitty cat shaped sculpture hand crafted by local artist Leon Rhodes as part of SWELL Sculpture Festival 2021.

Had so much fun putting this set together feeling into the seaside vibes and playful feline energy...It was an absolute dream to combine these two highly valued and frequently worshiped aspects of my existence and the backdrop was perfection 😺✨

As always giving thanks to the original creators of the sonic sorcery that stirs my soul and feels at home in my heart 💙

The evolution continues...as does the rain!

Opening night at Wonky Town was a vibe and a half, the space was a wonderland begging everyone to come play full to the brim with games, interactive installations, a cosy lamp lit lounge and all sorts of other shenanigans 

It was an honour and a privilege to play on a purpose built stage compliments of the festival and Fulcrum Designs in lieu of Sheila no longer being with us - May she forever rest in bass...

Also worth noting for full transparency and celebration of my musical journey that it was my first time performing live directly on the decks sans laptop and controller which was a whole new world in terms of convenience but all wrapped up in the kinda nerves I thought were behind me

Looking forward to continuing the learning process, experimenting with the weaving and manipulating of sound drawing inspiration from those in the know around me and as always with the highest level of gratitude and respect for the original creators

Ihr Fell ist benetzt von euphorisiertem Schweiß und dem Glitzer der Nacht, das wie ein Sternenstaubschleier über ihr hängt. Sie kratzt sich am zu wachen Kopf, ihre Pfoten sind müde und doch entzückt von den letzten Stunden Glückseligkeit im treibenden Sand. Die Discokugel um ihren Hals flüstert ihr vertraulich zu "Eine Station liegt noch auf deinem Weg" und so dubt sie weiter und weiter und weiter...

Midsummer weekend in Sweden was a busy one! 

At 9 AM on Friday the 24th of June I headed up towards Hjo and Forest Star Festival. I was greeted by the most beautiful forest with the most lovely festival-goers in it. For 2 hours I played to the amazing crowd in hot, sunny weather, and then unfortunately had to leave immediately after the set. 

Around midnight I crashed into bed, and woke up the next day ready to play Exam in Trance in Eslöv alongside Captain Hook, Menog, Mad Maxx and more! 

This set was recorded during Exam In Trance, but is the same one that I played at Forest Star Festival. It seems that my recording device never quite wants to cooperate with me, so the first and last 5 minutes are unfortunately cut off. But I hope that you enjoy these (almost) 2 hours of music!

There is a lovely quote about art and how it is the way we choose to decorate space, with that considered then naturally music is how we can decorate time...This conjures up thoughts and visions of being some kind of metaphysical interior designer of sorts?!

It pops into my mind often as I think about curation for any given event or opportunity to share the music that I love, I think of the physical space, those who will likely seek it out and the kind of experience they might like to have depending on time or circumstance...

.
When given the honour to warm up the stage for Opiuo, Jordan Dennis and Mood Swing & Chevy Bass at The Princess Theatre last month I felt a lot of feelings! First there was excitement, pride and shock which was closely followed by fear, harsh self judgement and doubt all tainted by a solid dose of impostor syndrome.

But when I stepped outside of my mind for a minute I genuinely knew that I could do it, I had all I needed to set the tone and style the evening decorating both time and space thanks to the beautiful music that had already found it's way to me.

.
Now on the other side of the experience I am pretty damn proud and so so grateful for all the friends who made the extra effort support me in their own special way whether it was during the lead up, in the flesh on the night or the days and weeks that followed as I reflected on it all 
.

.
I have since enjoyed so many rich conversations about the art of performance from those in the know farther along the path than I am now. It has provided me with comfort, perspective and hope for the future as I anticipate a greater sense of ease to eventually be possible for me on stage.

As always my deepest most heartfelt thanks to the original creators of the tracks selected for this offering, each and every one of them has been recognised by my soul as the medicine it needed at any given time...an inner intelligence at work that is far beyond the scope of my imagination but much appreciated all the same.

"L.S. in Wonderland" is me telling a story. My story of finding wonderful inspirations in electronic music.
These are songs that have accompanied me over the last few years and songs which I just found days ago. Mixing those tracks, blending them together, showed me that there are a lot of similarities to the music that I was listening to, all merging into a very personal sound journey. 
I'm understanding a little more each day, which elements in music I love.
I feel like I've found a path that I want to continue after experimenting with so many different sounds of music over the last 10 years.
Almost feels like Arrival.

What a journey this set was for me. A journey to love. A tender love, a lustful one. One full of passion and tenderness. One that is addressed to me. One that is a home for all of us. A love that lasts a lifetime, like that of my two wonderful friends as they celebrated their 25 year non-wedding anniversary on the day of the recording. A love that knows no barriers or boundaries, but blows them away effortlessly. A love that defies the storms, is strong and unshakably soft at its core. A love that can forgive, itself and others. A love that grows steadily because it is curious and compassionate. 
And above all, a love that is unconditional. 
May this infinite love rain down on you whenever you need it. May you live in the knowing that this love is within you. May it accompany you, guide you, inspire you. 
You are full of wonder and capable of anything - just the way you are. I forget that very often, as perhaps we all do. Thank you to all those who tirelessly remind me. May we be shelter to each other.

For this instalment we gathered at The Triffid and the brief was to begin the moment doors opened and warm up the space by toeing the line of a vibe that begs the question "Should we get a drink?" or "Should we have a dance?" then handover to the rest of the funky little relay team assembling for the eve. Those chorus lines from one of the tracks in Schleichcast°51 speak for themselves, providing quite a fitting summary of the vibe this mixtape conveys. This set feels like sand between toes while licking ice-cream, like some nourishing sunscreen gently applied to soft and tanned skin, like those lighthearted days that never seem to end and when they finally do, you almost missed the darkness of the night because the sun rises so early. In other words: the perfect soundtrack for summer and a wonderful potpourri of multicolored electronica and acoustic music, around-the-world-rhythms paired with souly-jazzy tunes…and not to forget, some slow n’ smooth downtempo. Thank you so much dear @maltesar for creating this musical treat!

Skinshape, dessen neueste Platte ich mit Spannung erwarte, die Band Jembaa Groove, die ich endlich mal live sehen muss und meine Liebe zu den Wurzeln des ganz ganz langsamen Downtempos mit vielen organischen Elementen. In diesem Set habe ich mich mal daran probiert all diese Inspirationen zusammenfließen zu lassen.

Ich bin auf der Fusion an der Freikörperküste zu den Klängen von den Jungs von Ali Dada aufgeweckt worden. Bin früher immer mal wieder über Edits von deren Tracks gestolpert, aber habe jetzt deren Live-Sounds lieben gelernt - Shout Out geht raus. Ein gute Portion Akustik-Love geht raus an die Tracks von @itsChristianHansen.

>>Was gefällt dir besonders an "langsamer" Musik?
Sie gibt mir den Raum mich in der Musik zu verlieren, abzuschalten und mich treiben zu lassen - ohne zu überfordern. Alle Elemente eines Tracks bekommen den Platz den sie verdienen und es findet sich meist ein ganz bestimmter Schlag Mensch auf den Tanzflächen der langsamen Musik zusammen - das verbindet und geht unter die Haut.

Menschen kommen, baden, tanzen, verweilen – auf unserer Spielwiese, der Freikörperküste, fernab von allem. Weißt du noch damals, als Zeit noch real war? Hier scheint sie stillzustehen, als gäbe es nichts außer diesem Moment.

Ich muss gar nichts, denke ich, während die Sonne heiß auf der Haut brennt und das Wasser kühl und erfrischend ist. Ich stoße an mit ’ner Pulle Sekt, während Stimmen und Klänge sich verweben, die Luft vibriert und alles bunt und leicht wirkt. Sun Sun Fun schwebt über dem Diner, ein leiser Gruß an die Freiheit.

We are so grateful for the invitation by @fernab-berlin and we had such a wonderful time with the best crowd and the most beautiful vibes at FreiKörperKüste. We will never forget all of those ecstatic and happy faces on the fog-and-sunshine-filled dance floor on Monday 11:30 – 14:00.

After 15 years of collecting music, there are a lot of tracks don’t ever find a home on a dance floor.. they don’t need to, they are for other purposes.. for mellow afternoons, moonlit nights in the garden or cozy couch sessions with rain drops knocking on the windows. They are the kind of tracks that are discovered while endless digging sessions on Bandcamp, or they pop up when riding my bike home, and they make me stop at the side of the street since I want to save them and throw them into my big dreamy track pool.
Here’s my current selection of these tracks, all weaved into a continuous story. A mellow, soft and slow story.. one that hopefully takes you to all these places that I envision, when I listened to them for the first time. Enjoy 💫

Mein Alleinsein wird durchbrochen von maßgeschneiderten Frequenzen. Der wohlklingende Schall legt sich wie eine warme Decke auf mein Gehör. Negativität, Anspannung und Belastungen sämtlicher Art perlen von mir ab wie ein 
Sturzbach, der sich durch sein Flussbett katapultiert. Regentropfen benetzten meine Kleidung und Haut, doch mein Herz glüht unter den Flammen der akustischen
Freuden. 
Musik beschert mir Unabhängigkeit. Musik offeriert mir meine Freiheit auf dem Silbertablett. Musik ist und bleibt meine Heimat auf immer da.

Monkeyman feiert mit diesem Set seine Podcast und KataHaifisch Premiere. Dementsprechend groß war die Vorfreude und das Ergebnis verschlägt einem glatt die Sprache.
