What is Banana Hill? 

Banana Hill began in Sheffield, filling the city's warehouses with sounds of the global underground. It expanded to Manchester in 2014 to clubs such as Soup Kitchen & Hidden and more recently to London, showcasing music & artists from around the world.
There are amazing sounds everywhere, and we try to bring them together -  afrobeat, jazz, kwaito, disco, house, neo-soul, techno, kuduro, hip hop, footwork, balani show, cumbia and lots more.

Driven by Bläp’s warm guitar chords, the chill-trap tones make for a perfect base as fellow Bay Area artist @P_Heir croons about getting high and getting down with his goddess. It’s as much a smoker’s anthem as it is a lover’s one.
 
The track is the third single from the expansive producer’s forthcoming album WOMAN, following “Just Discovered A Pyramid” and “Monotone Humm”. A tribute to the women of his life, WOMAN is also rooted in moving forwards from some of the difficult situations that contributed to the project’s creation. Woody Latuheru a.k.a KA-YU (DTW/AIM) is a young producer, percussionist and dj from a little village in Holland called Oosterwolde. His roots lay in Holland and Kilang, a village in Ambon, one of the Islands of Maluku. His love for music and beatmaking goes very deep and the music he makes comes right from his heart and soul.

In his later years, he began listening to Hip Hop and R&B which shaped his sounds. At the age of 14, he started making sample based beats and taught himself the fundamentals, sampling jazz, soul, funk & r&b.

In 2014 he really started to focus on making good quality music and released the song ''Forbidden Fruit''. This was a eyeopener to him to push his music career to a next level.
Currently he is working hard on his beats and is also focussing on being a percussionist.

KA-YU's inspirations to make music comes from God, his family, the Art In Melodies collective and his ancestors. but his biggest source of inspiration will always be his father who taught him how to play rhythms on several percussion instruments.

Be on the lookout as he's currently working on a EP, ''Yung Kayubesi'' due out later on this year.
