JMR022 : Marvin Aloys - Little Hide Darkside (Distant Relatives JHB Remix)

The Cut Knob duo found his way to Stellar Fountain's all time top 10 charts with 'Turn Up The Speakers', which came out in 2013, alongside with Melodia Bizarra. The potential of the track is unquestionable, so it was a necessary move to invite some of the scene's hottest names, like Alfonso Muchacho, John Johnson and Groven added their own ideas to the original theme. <br>Alfonso Muchacho played a lot with new melody layers, which sound pretty epic together with the part he used from the remix pack. John Johnson's rework has an energetic tech approach, spiced with a refreshing wave of synths. Groven became the bridge between the two previous versions, as he combined a sweet, gentle vibe with massive beats.

Here is one that we have been sitting on for a while, that we been dying for to get out to all of you. It’s with great pleasure and a huge honor that we are able to present this package, that we really enjoyed from the very first listen, as we see the great talent of Anthony Mea, a label favorite, joining us here at PHW Elements. For those of you familiar with his sounds, probably know that we are going further towards deep house this week, as he is a true expert in the genre. “Watching Me” as this track is titled is a truly warm musical journey, filled with warm textures and grooves and superb vocal sample that definitely spice things up here. It’s as good as ever from this talented producer and we feel great to present it to you.
On remix duty, we see another 3 brilliant acts taking the momentum and comes on to the label, where 2 of them joins us for the very first time. Opening up is another great talent from the deep house scene, as Jero Nougues, the producer based in Buenos Aires in Argentina, is bringing his touch to the original ideas from Anthony. With a deep and smooth atmosphere built up, through warm pads, crisp percussion and a truly touching bass line, he once again showcase why he is one of the most sought producers out there. It’s as lovely as ever from him and we are excited to see the reactions on this one of course.
Next up is a producer coming from the big country of Russia, as we see a little diamond taking his place on the label and one that you hopefully are to see a lot more from in the future. We are glad to get the chance to present you music from the alias of Smokeless Soul, as he is one to watching in our eyes. He brings a great blend between deep house elements and a more progressive touch on the track and we do think he’s created something magic for us here, we absolutely love it among all the other fantastic takes on the original.
The final remix in this package is a welcome return on the label from Belgrade based musical magician Marijan Raskovic, more known to us all through his Jelly For The Babies moniker. Being a hard working musician for a long time now, knowing his DAW inside out, he is literally spitting out tune after tune, and he does it with charm and style each and every week. No one could be happier than what we are to finally have him back with us. He brings a truly deep take on today, as he built a groovy piece of music to complement the release that gives both edge and another direction to the release. A true master at his very best is showing his work here, and we are honored and happy as always to have him in our PHW Elements family!

Meloder (or Rich to his friends) is a terrible pianist (and organist), but he is quite handy with a computer so thankfully he can correct the many mistakes he makes when laying down bass lines and melodies; something he spends as much time as he can doing.

Music is a true passion that has grown in him over many years, and he is an avid listener of all sorts of electronic music (and indeed many other genres). However, most of his current productions fall under the banner of house; and range from deep to disco to progressive. 

You can also catch Rich playing records regularly in London (and occasionally beyond) for OptionOne, a night he co-founded to give he and his friends somewhere to enjoy the music they love - you are welcome to join them anytime.
