Serbian talent Veljko Jovic has impressed with his releases on the likes of I AM DIFFERENT, Lowbit, Area Verde and Multi Notes, scoring a Top 10 on Beatport in the process with his brooding sounds. His latest effort ‘Paris’ blends elements of electro, Italo, techno and synth pop into one heady, slow-building mix.
A monotone bassline chug probes at huge snare hits and rigid woodblock hits as the track builds, with pulses of synth energy punctuating the groove. Snarling, dark textures rise slowly from the depths, building a foundation of moody energy. Atonal, filtered stabs bring the techno flavour, juxtaposing against a dainty synth line right out of the Yazoo / early ‘80s textbook. The intensity builds towards the dramatic breakdown, where suddenly a rousing riff is introduced playing pleasing fifths. A spoken French vocal delays around the stereo field dizzyingly, and a taut breakbeat rhythm satisfyingly cuts into the mix with no warning. The track continues to flex and shapeshift, providing a delightful interplay between its myriad elements to create a truly wondrous sound.

Turning up with their debut transmission for Stil vor Talent, power outfit Anturage & Alexey Union clock in with heavy punching double-trouble. Full to the brim with raging EBM bursts and unrelenting arp-laden machine funk, 'Engage' is not one for the faint of heart.

An ebullient showoff of muscular big-room engineerings and in-your-face rhythmic assault, 'Engage' lets hell loose through a hail of puncturing kicks and sharp-as-a-dagger synth stabs moving against tide after tide of dance floor-submerging bass maneuvers. One to blast out loud with the EQ set to full-destruction mode, there goes a post-apocalyptic ripper of the boldest ilk. Fleshing out its equally sinewy framework with higher levels of disco and fun, 'Keke' is no-surrender body music in its purest essence, locked and loaded for maximal impact. Pulling out a battery of infectious bass pyrotechnics and heavily-processed android chatter, the track unfolds with enhanced climactic fury through a six-minute-long distribution of juggernaut knuckle sandwiches and cyclonic sweep kicks. It's surely something new from they instead music with eastern vibe, packed with catchy melodies, a superb breakdown and Emotional vocal. It has all the Space Food vibes that we so often see from them. Second is high octane driving melodic techno track called "Dark Force". Another massive dark stuff with hypnotic melodies and vocal. The mystical atmosphere of the track makes it quite interesting and unusual. Third out is "Illusion" more indie dance track with interesting groove and pulsing bass which might be good work for dancefloor.
