In this Matsuri episode you can hear TSUYOSHI SUZUKI's "Nu Year 2023 Mix" recorded at Koenji Cave. Tsuyoshi Suzuki is an internationally-acclaimed DJ and producer from Tokyo. At the leading edge of the psychedelic trance movement for a quarter of a century, Tsuyoshi continues to thrill crowds all over the world with his uniquely focused style of mixing and psychedelic music selection. Tsuyoshi moved to London in 1992 to found Matsuri Productions with marketing manager John Perloff and to expand his work as a DJ. Producing popular releases on his record label while DJ’ing at the popular Return To The Source events in London, Tsuyoshi gained international popularity and was soon travelling across the globe. In 2000 he moved back to Tokyo and shifted focus to a wider range of electronic and analog musical styles with a new label, Madskippers, while also organizing the regular event Tokio Drome. He expanded from DJing into live music with his band Joujouka, which produces cross-platform electro psychedelic rock and fusion music.  In 2009, as Goa Trance started to enjoy a revival in Tokyo, Tsuyoshi re-started Matsuri Productions by rebranding as Matsuri Digital, working together with the young new DJ Yuta and others to bring the timeless Goa sound to a new generation. Tsuyoshi’s new project GoKen, with Japanese producer Ubar Tmar, is focused on updating psychedelic sounds with a 90s inspiration. Tsuyoshi and Matsuri are continuing to evolve and shape the global scene.

Melodic Noise Biography

Melodic Noise aka Dyego Dos Passos was born and bred in Brazil.  Since his early years, Dyego’s passion for music was strong	, and his love for the colourful refreshing sounds of Psy-trance grew.  As did his desire to learn and hone his DJ and production skills and develop his craft further – which prompted a move to London, UK in 2006.  

His loyalty and dedication to this powerful exhilarating sound grew further, and was infectious, swiftly landing him gigs and rocking the dancefloors at nightclubs and parties across London town.  

His winning formula of playing driving, uplifting, groovy Psy-trance has earned him long term residencies at legendary club nights Cohesion and Illusiom and, has even seen him grace the decks at super-club Ministry of Sound.  Melodic Noise has shared the stage with some of the Psy-trance scene’s finest veterans – Avalon, Infected Mushroom, Mad Maxx, Vini Vici and more! 

Melodic Noise is a diverse captivating DJ who can rock the main stage at peak time with his full-on Psy-trance mania but is equally as comfortable mesmerising the trance heads at sunrise with a serene progressive morning set. Melodic Noise’s blend of high energy spiritual sounds and raw unadulterated passion captivates the dance floor, hypnotising the crowd, elevating their minds, rocking their bodies and nourishing their souls.
