Munich Based Julian Wassermann glides in between his usual areas of musical dexterity, blending Deep Techno and Electronica into a souring four-tracker.

First of the lot, Sol, offers up a fluid melody dotted with acidic synths. Evident from the get go, the track bears a clear cinematic underpinning, a common mark throughout the entire release. All elements are geared towards elevating the overall experience, resulting in a highly emotive and captivating piece.

Hazy atmosphere is the main theme in Lyra, a towering tech house exploration featuring misty vocals and zippy synths. It’s a construction that sustains a light headed tension, equally immersive and spellbinding thanks to the airy vocal chops.

Lofty moods meet fiendish ambiance in Sirius, a whirlwinding cut fit for late night antics. Evoking a surreal, dungeon-like setting seems to come easy to the artist, who balances out light and obscure on the entirety of the EP.

Argon is not just a noble gas, but in this case a high strung slice of techno, powering through with arrays of metallic synths and an upbeat melody. Edgy elements combine with arching synths and snappy bites, building up a perfect dancefloor weapon to round the release off in style.

Welcome Marius Drescher on Ein2 with his ep 'Momentum'. The Berlin based Producer will spark some 'Momentum' in you with his title track. Heavy baselines and a catchy melody together with an tribal underlayer will do that trick. Continuing with 'Stasis' Marius keeps the pace progressive and up lifting, a dance floor filler. With 'Foxy' we see a deeper side of Drescher, a track for a magical sunrise moment! We finish the ep wih a techy remix from Daniel Jaeger on top!

Release Info: 
It was at the age of 8 that Jeremy, alias Several Definitions, developed his desire to be in the world of music by receiving drums for Christmas. He took lessons for more than 6 years, played several concerts for his friends and learned the basics of music.

After he received his first paycheck, Jeremy bought his first turntables. Growing up in the Hip Hop culture, he liked scratching with his friends but over time, Jeremy was more and more interested in faster and catchy beats like House music.
He was 18 years old when he made his first tracks. Active by nature, Jeremy headed to a mix between House and Electro sounds. He quickly associated with another Swiss DJ and formed the duo 'Radi & Keith'.

During this time, the two fellows move towards a more Deep kind of music with catchy sounds. They released several tracks on different labels such as Seven City music, Funktion Black, Vamos music, Housesession and others.

The moniker 'Several Definitions' was created in 2014, after Jeremy decided to continue a solo career with more Techno influences. According to him, loss, love and joy are the feelings that give him the greatest inspiration. His productions are intense and full of various sounds, all built on a line of percussions. Warm atmospheres, captivating melodies and catchy beats, the mix is just perfect.

With releases on Diynamic, Stil Vor Talent, Suara, and Underground Audio now under his belt, it's clear to see Several Definitions has a bright future

Stil & Bense return to the label with 'Cheat Codes'. Their last outing back in March of this year was received to high acclaim - with big support from the likes of Djuma Sound System, Eelke Kleijn AFFKT, Animal Trainer, Gai Barone, Marc DePulse and many more at the time. With their long-awaited return to ICONYC, the duo delivers a slice of summer vibes titled 'Cheat Codes'. The original track kicks things off nicely with its melancholic moodiness shining through as we meander effortlessly through club inspired melodies, while the sultry chords sit wonderfully on top adding an extra layer of depth.

Melody Stranger, who needs no introduction created a rework full of tension from the word go, as the atmospheric vibe subtly keeps you moving with warm tinkling sounds, a smooth edge and some nicely effected sounding pieces. We basically have the formula for a bit of a monumental outing. The sparseness is the key here, as this restrained gem works its magic while it plays away, creating a warm glow, creating an air of sophistication. "Essential stuff!"

Next up are Two Sins who mark their debut on the label with 2 remixes, the Russian duo known for their melodic techno influenced sound, keep the ethereal theme of the original alive, as the pulsating bass powers along, before its drum fills and general warmth all combine to do the talking. Like something from yesteryear, yet sounding fresh and exciting. Lovely rework from Two Sins. 

The duo's dub version is a stripped back affair and takes the energy levels up a notch, but increases the melancholy with stripped back and lucid elements at the same time, before the luscious pads grace the rework changing the vibe and creating a blanket of warmth that wraps around the effected groove. It's all about the groove, cool house vibes and the driving beats that are working their magic around Plus Thirty's wonderfully arranged keys that create an irresistible rhythm while clever chords take the mind on a trip. 

With 'Cheat Codes' Stil & Bense really show that there're no boundaries, as this beautiful melodic gem guides you to a full-on club laden, melodic hug of a release that will cause many smile induced moments! Julian Wassermann, Artche - Inner Reflections

EP number sixteen, called ‘Abyss EP’, comes from the Greek trio Symmetric (@symmetricofficial) & Future of Matter (@futureofmatter). This obscure collection of tracks with a melodic touch, goes the most towards a techno EP from the label so far. Especially because the three originals got strengthened by two great remixes of bastinov (@bastinov) and VNTM (@vntmofficial).

The EP starts off with the title track ‘Abyss’. This is the most obscure track of the EP. It got a raw and heavy lower part on which some frightening, atmospheric and almost randomly sounding, synths are build. The further in the track, the less random these synths get and when everything comes together it is one perfect fit.

The second track, called ‘River In The Sky’, is a brighter one. In this piece of music the melodic side of the EP gets more clear through its hopeful lead melody, but still the track is guided by the characteristic techno influenced lower groove elements. 

Where the originals are raw and stripped down, VNTM’s remix of ‘River In The Sky’ is round and full. It’s the most melodic track of the EP and attracts the attention with its spacey and fluctuating ambiance. All this together results in a composition in which you can totally lose your thoughts.

‘Anderida’ is the fourth track of the EP and is also driven by this characteristic lower part. Some small additions such as a hat are making this track pretty groovy, but the real ear-catcher is its intriguing main lead, which you won’t hear every day. 

In his remix of ‘Anderida’ bastinov added some power to the lower end, by using his heavy kick-bass combination. He took the main synth of the original and brought it company through some interesting and massive synth melodies. All together forming a strong end to a strong EP.
