With "Closer" Masterton debuts on Blackfoxmusic's 19th release (BFM019). "Closer" is a warm track with a deep groove and beautiful melodies. It relates to living in a long distance relationship and overcoming a lack of proximity.

Robert Babicz (Babiczstyle, Systematic, Bedrock Records) created an incredible remix. He used lots of the original melodies, combined them with new elements, added rolling drums and a thick bassline to give the track the extra drive. His remix became a constant part of his live sets and was debuted with great response at Grelle Forelle (Vienna) and Ritter Butzke (Berlin).

On the A-side Echonomist signs a beautiful track which shows all Petros skills and musical taste melting groove, emotion and atmosphere in this amazing cut that magically combined with the silky voice of Mz Sunday Luv offers us one of the best tracks ever release here on BAF. As remixers of “Obstacles” we’re proud to introduce the well-know duo Pol_On (Connaisseur/Systematic) which focus on the essential elements delivering a fantastic deep-house killer that you’ll be looking forward to play. On the B-side here comes the parisian Andrade with “Dancing”, a sweet track with a dreamy and nostalgic feeling that seems to remind us about some all good times dancing in a place we love. Beautiful melodies flavoured with a ‘80’s touch that will surely take you by the hand and bring your imagination back in time. The Berlin based Quell (Ibadan/These Days) on the remix “grind” the sounds of the original mix into a monster club edit that cross the boards between house and techno in that special way for which he got known for. A solid pack that you’re surely going to love. Don’t forget...We make music with the heart!

Echonomist Ft. Mz Sunday Luv - Obstacles (Original Mix)

I’m a Cliché is proud to present Red Axes’ second release on the label, a few months after their ‘Tour de Chile’ EP. ‘1970’ EP is composed of three new original tracks by the exciting duo from Tel Aviv. These three rays of light in the batcave confirm what stroke label’s head Cosmo Vitelli most in the first place: their talent in smartly winking at dance music history while integrating all the codes of modern production.

1. “1970”, the title track, is a dance ballade with an obvious touch of Balearic. Mixing images of soap-ad kids and fighter planes in the video made to it is like mixing lightness and darkness in their music: very natural after all.

2. “Walk Alone” provides further evidence of this combination: the brisk piece of techno seems a hopping walk through sunny lands at the edge of a ravine.

3. “Joseph Cookies” samples a masterpiece from New German Wave band Malaria and, while keeping the punk flavour, turns it into a slow anthem for captivated dancers.

Additional background about Red Axes:

Red Axes is a project created by Tel-Aviv based producers and DJs Dori Sadovnik and Niv Arzi. 
The duo has been performing together for over 6 years, first as members of the new wave / post punk band Red Cotton. After living in Amsterdam and traveling in Europe, the guys returned to Tel-Aviv and began an underground psychedelic electronic party series called "Break It!". 
In 2009, they established a new vision and concept for all of their artistic endeavors - focusing on house, disco and techno. Several Red Axes EPs came out  between 2009 and 2011, on Statra Recordings and Klasse Recordings. 
2012 started with “Tour de Chile” EP on I’m a Cliché and continues with an other EP on the same label, “1970”, in addition to remixes and original tracks for La Belle or Clouded Vision. Their work in editing masterpieces and live-performing helped them push their boundaries both as DJs and as producers. 
In the Tel Aviv night scene they were booked to play alongside Luciano, Richie Hawtin, Pilooski, just to name a few... Playing in Tokyo in summer 2012 was a step further towards transcontinental recognition.
