Berlin’s Ruede Hagelstein is a long-time fixture of the Berlin music scene, with releases on some of the city’s premiere labels, including Watergate, Souvenir and Upon You. He’s been a longtime friend of Do Not Sit as well, including his Naive Kunst EP in 2019.

He returns to the label with production partner, Justin Evans for his Scirocco EP. Featuring two complimentary tracks - the heavier, arpeggiated sound of the title track, combined with the slow burn of “Chamsin”.

The EP draws inspiration from the phenomenon of drift in water physics, where, in sailing, balance is maintained by an imaginary yet razor-sharp trail that anchors the boat's forward momentum, preventing it from drifting off course.
