Hi guys! After long months of ups & downs with work, finally got back to mixing to close 2021! This mix combines tracks I have been toying with in the past 6 months including some great tunes from Gorgon City. I've been through the roof with them all year long. So lucky to see them on tour last October in Brooklyn. In 2022 don't be afraid to love. Be with someone or alone, love is what keeps us human after all. Hope you like this mix! Welcome to Groove Theory.
On this 7th episode, we have Montreal legend Nathan Burns taking us on a groovy deep minimal journey. Nathan Burns is a reference in the electronic music scene. Since his debut in 2000, he has explored the musical sphere that attracts him; by founding Microzoo as a weekly party at Salon Daomé in Montreal, he helped define a deep and minimal sound that has mutated into a coveted label. Faithful to his residency, he became the artistic director of the venue until he became co-owner. Since then, he has acted as a magnet for the electronic scene and has expressed himself on various stages in the city and occasionally in clubs and festivals abroad.
This, is Nathan Burns' Groove Theory.

His sets offer a wide range of melodic and progressive house tunes with an awesome melancholic vibe and groovy rhythm. Exactly the same I like to play and listen to. He literaly lives the Berlin Sound.

Bio:
As a former part of a duo project, Lueking could already gather some experience and reputation. He can count several gigs in Berlin and also Europe-wide to his references. Among others clubs and festivals like Watergate, Sisyphos, Ritter Butzke, Salon zur wilden Renate, Waagenbau, Bahnwärter Thiel, Wurzelfestival, Feel Festival, just to name a few. Now he concentrates on his solo project, which he revived in 2022. 

Musically, he moves between melodic techno and progressive house, though he doesn't want to commit to either genre. His sound could be described as raw and deep but multi-faceted and melancholic. His debut release after relaunching his project was in May with Georg Arnim on the label Parquet Recordings. After that in June a single with Vincent Marlice on YION. Further productions are already in planning. A young artist to keep an eye on.
