This chapter we have @charlie3m who has been in touch with electronic music since more than a decade. DJ and producer focused on finding the balance between organic and electronic; between clear sounds and distortion having a great influence of synthesizers and live recorded sounds that merge in electronic rhythms with an unique character.
Nowadays, CharlieM has a solo DJ set with a clear latin and ethnic sounds influence that he combines with his beloved synthesizers, piano sounds and guitars. 
His only goal is to inspire his audience with his unique visión of electronic music.

The Ultimate ReBirth_TECHNOgaleria, 31.08.24

Words cannot describe the feeling that overcame me when I took to the fire stage at Dragon Dreaming 2024. Eternally grateful to have been selected, I have been humbled by this opportunity to grow, shine and resonate under the gentle wings of the purring dragon that resides where Wiradjuri and in Ngunawal country meet. (I also reside in Wiradjuri country). Thank you, traditional custodians of this land for sharing this sacred space. 

To play on such an established festival site was an experience beyond measure. I'm so glad I was gifted an early slot, 1:30 to 3pm Friday, first day of the festival.  So much emotion flooded my being as I hovered backstage with my friend Ajem who performed first, but once I got past the 3rd transition,  I knew I was in my flow. 

Never had I looked out to a dancefloor so full, and I could only see a small portion from the fire stage. That was a good thing for me, made it more gentle, less intimidating. 

I had bought a Zoom recorder to use to live record the set, but didn't have the time pre-festival to fully understand how to work it out. (It is quite simple, beautiful design and function). So unfortunately, I did not record the set live as I played that day, but now I have the ability and know how to use it, and from now on, my performances will be live records. So this studio version I did at home actually came out as (nearly) flawlessly as I played live. I used the device, and was able to do a little voice over at the beginning and end of the set, something I couldn't have done live at the festival. Please forgive me for the voice audio level, you may have to listen carefully. 

Most importantly,  I wouldn't have been able to do this without the love and support of my husband of 27 years, Sean Pattison, our 3 amazing sons, Samuel, Liam and Luke, and most especially, my best friend, Shannon Kelly. I love you all so much! Gratitude beyond measure!

Special shout out mention to my sister Kari, born year of the wood dragon, who has been my biggest fan since I began this journey. 

I didn't really want to make this post like a Grammys' speech, but I am just so humbled by what happened, I had to share the love. It's kind of what I do. But for now, I will stop writing and let you get on with listening to the frequencies that I brought to the stage.
