Marc Martinez aka AFFKT proves again that he is not afraid of going against the rules with his open minded "Cold Sweat EP" for Sincopat. New EP release will be out on December 13th and what we have here is the worldwide premiere of the track "Llobarro", the secret weapon of the EP with a bunch of 'out of space' synths. 

"Cold Sweat EP" brings three powerful original tracks plus an exquisite remix by the Mexican amazing talent Theus Mago. Fireworks light up with "Samorra", a strong electronic piece with hypnotic bass and outstanding filters, be sure that the test in the club will reach madness. On remix duties we got the eclectic and innovative Theus Mago delivering a really huge re-interpretation of the track, adding even more organic flavoured notes to the picture. "Beetlejuice" is the dessert of these timeless menu, and it offers some surprising sounds and noises in an incredible breakdown.

The door of the house was ajar, lock broken and glass smashed into tiny pieces. Every inch of the interior had been defaced, damaged and neglected. Nothing seemed salvageable. She took a deep breath, this was her responsibility, she was in charge of taking care of this space and she'd failed completely. What could she do or say to rectify this? There was nothing that could save her if she told the truth. Everybody would ostracise her, cast her off. Her reputation would be in tatters. She only had one option... To lie through her teeth. It felt like eating knives...

Lithuanian artist Jaroška's music blends influences like post-punk, rave, EBM and electro. His latest record gets the rework treatment from Berlin duo Local Suicide and Argentinian producer Skelesys who, between them, have landed on Ombra International, Multi Culti, Bordello A Parigi and Rotten City Trax.

“Golden Bug (@Golden-bug)” and “In Fields (@InFieldsmusic)” collaborate with the aim to construct this slow disco and spaced out an ambient leftfield album called ”Vibrations Métalliques” under the respected Hoga Nord Rekords (@hoga-nord-rekords). This album is the result of two persons with tons of respect for one another musically, two musicians who have been floating past and sometimes in each other’s projects for the last couple of years. Golden Bugs metallic excentricity meeting with In Fields darkness and live feel creates unpredictability and the music goes on towards an exploratory trip far away!

Our choice for today from this eccentric album is “Dust”. A modular sounding synth that is being represented in apparent randomness but when you listen closely you shall find the underlying patterns, constant feedback loops, and a self-organized melancholy.

One of the low-key driving forces at EABE Records, producer DJ Lifegoals is now stepping into the spotlight with the release of his debut EP, ‘Life Imitates Art’. Over the past year the Helsinki-based producer has been the talk of his hometown, gathering momentum with his euphoric live gigs, as well as his eclectic DJ sets at the top venues of Helsinki. Especially his live set at The Flow Festival 2018 seemed to perfectly capture the blissful mood of the exceptionally long and hot summer in Helsinki. The same joyous atmosphere is also the dominant one on the Life Imitates Art EP, which musically documents the rare and precious moment when the shores of The Baltic Sea felt more like The Balearic Islands. The producer, while only recently emerged under the alias DJ Lifegoals, has a long history with electronic music, having started collecting records at the age of 13 under the guidance of a local DJ. The vast range of influences is heard in DJ Lifegoals’ music, that while paying homage to his 90’s house, breakbeat and acid favourites, is constantly surprising listeners with explorations to unsailed seas. Characteristic to DJ Lifegoals’ music is the fine balance between euphoric eruptions of rave-ready moments and subtle, progressive elements. DJ Lifegoals ‘Life Imitates Art’ EP drops on all digital platforms on 6th December 2019.

‘Right on’ is a cover remake of the classic of the same name from Silicon Soul that sampled Curtis Mayfield in there big early 2000’s hit. Now 20years later the track gets a brand new remake from Space Motion with his trademark mixture of tribal grooves and progressive house elements.

The second track of the EP connects directly to ‘Right on’ as it keeps the Strings themes alive. ‘Human Tears’ is a brand new original soundtrack that brings a lot of the elements of the old school 90s House Music back, especially due to its beautiful melodies arranged by Violins and Strings. A powerful progressive house groove makes the track feel modern while the main harmonies touch our hearts with emotion and melancholic feelings.

London label @scuffedrecs is kicking 2020 off with a three-tracker from  Brighton duo @heritage_ds, aka Movement and Tribalist.

The new EP,  'The Revelation', marks Heritage's Scuffed debut and arrives with the label's eye-catching (and now signature) artwork. It follows up a string of impressive releases from the likes of Croft, Farsight and Intern Hook-Up which released last year via Scuffed. 

In terms of the music, 'The Revelation' is a three-track snapshot of the woozy, mutated and tailor-made-4-the-rave trend popular among UK producers of late. 'The first EP of 2020 will be in the name of the Italian Alberth. With his productions he gains a lot of support and through 2019 he worked his way up. He provided three originals, with 'Focus' as title track, and the remix is coming from the Italian, Berlin based, duo The Ancient Memories.

The first track of the EP is called 'Focus'. As the name already says the track is focused on one particular magical lead. This floating lead is accompanied by some in-the-face drums and atmospheric sounds, which all together created a really effective track.

'Wanderlast' is the second track of the EP, which is a beautiful one. Through the track more and more got revealed of the intriguing high pitched main synth. Even though the track is really atmospheric, Alberth managed to add a certain groove to the percussion.

The third track, 'The Landing', makes you feel like you are hovering somewhere high in the sky. The lead is drifting through the track and got strengthened by some balanced higher sounds.

The Ancient Memories gave 'The Landing' a little bit more power by adding some heavier synths to the floating lead of the original. Every time listening to this remix, you will discover something new, which makes this an impressive end to an impressive EP.'
