Tripswitch’s ONEDOTSIXTWO unveils its first release of 2019 as it continues to seek out and feature the finest world-class talent within the global underground progressive house scene. The label’s highly impressive 10th release shines a spotlight on the dynamic creativity of rising Argentinian DJ/Producer Antrim, who follows his remix of Griffin Paisley’s ‘Sunspots’ (ODST0009) with his own 2-tracker. This package is further boosted by a superb set of remixes courtesy of fellow Argentinian rising-star Nicolas Rada, and one of Egypt’s most promising rising DJ/Producers, the inimitable Black 8.

‘Missing Words’ is a masterfully subtle and uniquely enthralling creation. Its relaxed, carefully arranged, hypnotic, melodic beauty marks Antrim out as being ahead of the curve. Indeed, whilst also running and releasing on his own Or Two Strangers imprint, Antrim has built a reputation for developing a highly individualistic cutting edge sound, incorporating both deep and progressive influences, and seen him impress with a steady flow of recent releases on the likes of Sudbeat, Future Sound Of Egypt, Dreamers and Particles. This exceptionally promising Córdoba-based DJ/Producer further enhances his rapidly rising reputation with the equally impressive ‘Experiments’, another highly addictive creation that exhibits a steadily building groove, coated in unhurried layers of subtle texture and splashed with joyous colours. 

Remix duties for ‘Experiments’ fall to Cairo-based Black 8, considered to be one of Egypt’s most promising rising DJ/Producers. We were always living in nonlinear times, but a significant cycle is coming to an end so we are noticing a growing number of severe changes and happenings caused by the nonlinear nature of things. For human beings it's difficult to imagine exponential growth despite it surrounding us in almost every aspects of life.
In music one can find such nonlinear increases or logarithmical declines in the core of sound creation itself, namely in envelopes controlling levels, texture and frequencies. But also in real life in the rise and fall of popularity, in viral news or in the development of music technology.
Utilising his sound pallet comprised of modular synthesis and electronic instrumentation, Florian Meindl highlights these resonances of thought and exploration with a sonic statement of his current vision around electronic music in the form of his 4th artist album.

Press Info: "When asked by my good friends at Iboga if i wanted to make a compilation aiming at the slower, more downbeat side of the music spectrum, of course I immediately said yes.

So much great downbeat music has emerged over the past  years, and the scene has been growing rapidly, with many sub-genres seeing the light of day.

My thoughts about the selection of tracks were that they should be deep, moody, trippy, well produced and layered with tribalistic rhythm patterns. And a sexy bassline wouldn't hurt either!

So I started to get in contact with friends and some of my favorite producers in the genre, and slowly but surely, a story was starting to unfold...a sonic horizon, filled with music dear to my heart. Enjoy!”

After impressing with his contribution to 'Watergate 25', emerging Spanish talent Upercent steps up for his first full-length EP on the label. In recent years the Valencia native has emerged with releases on labels of the ilk of Kompakt, Diynamic and the tastemaker favourite microCastle Records. We got our first taste of his talents on Watergate Records when the superb 'La Lluita' featured exclusively as part of 'Watergate 25 - Adana Twins' compilation. Late last year he made his debut at the club, where his distinctive aesthetic connected naturally. The new 'Flor De Lotus EP' exemplifies this style; a fusion of organic and analogue, Upercent's productions are always thoughtful and emotive. 'Somia' is laden with cosmic synths, hints of the Mediterranean, and a dance-ready beat to boot. The intricate percussion evident in 'Somia' carries through in 'Pulcre'; another rhythmic piece infused with an enigmatic vocal and a pulsating bass that continues to build throughout. 'Flor De Lotus' culminates with a high-energy, late-night remix of 'Pulcre' from Romanian DJ/Producer BOg, who also graced the 'Watergate 25' compilation.
