Agent S. and the Mission

The Lone Spacecowboy had already spent some time on a large tropical island.

Slowly a slight restlessness spread through him and he realized that it was time to move on. He was planning to meet Agent S. in person, who had an assignment for him.

He had to cross the border for this meeting.  He secured the crossing with a ferry. However, he did not know where the ferry was supposed to land.

He woke up early in the morning and the heat of the day was still to come. The pier where the ferry was due to leave felt a mile long and the walk to get there felt like “Fear and Lothing in Las Vegas”. I wonder why that was? It smelled of thousands of different fragrances and a light breeze was blowing. In between, the sounds of local music from the stalls permeated the air. At times,The Lone Spacecowboy  couldn't tell what was fiction and what was reality. Fortunately, he reached the ferry, which set off after a few moments.The sea air, the gentle rocking of the ferry and a cold beer calmed his inner turmoil.

After about 4 hours, the ferry reached the mainland. From here, we took a Tuk Tuk to the border. When asked how far it was to the border, he was told “7 minutes”. To The Lone Spacecowboy, the answer seemed like a measurement that had fallen out of time. In fact, the TukTuk reached the border in 7 minutes. The trucks were already jammed in a long line here.

The Lone Spacecowboy therefore had to walk the rest of the way to the border. The midday sun was burning mercilessly. The exit went without a hitch. Between the border lines, soldiers could be seen carrying out military exercises.

After a few steps he reached the border control on the other side. The sun shone on the crackling canopy of the border guards. It seemed as if they wanted to collect additional money from the remaining border crossers who did not yet have a visa to enter the country. Fortunately, The Lone Spacecowboy had already arranged a visa in advance and so escaped this scam. The whole thing took about 30 minutes, now he finally crossed the border. 

The first thing he did was make a phone call. Now that he had Alice, which was Agent S.'s real name, on his ear, she babbled something about finally getting to Wonderland. After the call, he got himself a motorcycle, which, after a short trade with a local, became his property. He set off on his journey. From now on, the journey continued along dusty roads. He reached a valley at night when he heard a whisper that seemed strangely familiar. It was Agent S. Now The Lone Spacecowboy had reached its destination.

When the next morning dawned, The Lone Spacecowboy was woken up by Agent S.. The two of them had to walk a short distance to a viewpoint. From here they could see the whole valley.
The Lone Spacecowboy suddenly saw the many wild animals in the valley. Animals he only knew from pictures. Now he realized what his mission was, even without having spoken to Agent S. about it. A feeling gripped him, he didn't know what it was, but he knew what to do. But listen for yourself.....
